NFC division and conference title contenders and Super Bowl hopefuls face off in a big Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 14, as Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions host Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions (11-1) own a two-game lead over the Packers (9-3) in the NFC North, with the Vikings (10-2) in-between. Detroit is the favorite to win the Super Bowl at most online sportsbooks – including +250 at DraftKings – while the Packers have the sixth-lowest odds at +1400.

Detroit NFL Odds is favored by 3.5 points in the latest Packers vs. Lions odds, with an Over/Under of 51.5 points.

Bookies.com veteran NFL handicapper Adam Thompson – who has hit on a whopping 60.2% of his NFL picks five years running, reveals his plays for Thursday Night Football Week 14.

Packers vs. Lions Betting Predictions

Packers vs. Lions Point Spread

The Lions bested the Packers 24-14 on Nov. 2, but one could argue Green Bay has improved since then, and Detroit has dipped a notch, mainly due to major defensive injuries on the line and LB spots. That is a good omen for the Packers and a punishing and multi-faceted rushing attack. Jordan Love also looks more comfortable since returning from his own injury.

The number is a big key, however. Four of the last nine Packers games have been decided by a field goal or less.

Both teams should score, so we’re leaning toward Green Bay with the big hook at 3.5.

Packers vs. Lions Over/Under

Only 38 points were scored the last time these teams met. Since then, the Packers have scored 38 and 30 points in the last two games and Detroit still averages 31.9 ppg, tops in the NFL.

The Lions’ front-seven injuries and the questionable status of top CB Jaire Alexander for the Packers offer more of an edge for both offenses, especially on the turf.

Back the Over as the top play for Thursday evening.

Packers vs. Lions Moneyline

The Lions are posted at -170 on the moneyline, meaning it takes a $170 wager to win $100 in profit. The Packers are at +142 (wager $100 to win $142 in profit).

There is a draw in taking the underdog Packers to pull off a victory here, but there is more value in getting the hook on the spread. GB is 2-2 straight-up as an underdog, but both wins came without Love.

Eschew the money and stick with other wagers for TNF.

Packers vs. Lions Top Player Props

Josh Jacobs, Over 84.5 Total Yards

The Lions are as good as it gets in slowing opposing running backs, allowing a scant 90.5 combined yards per game. As good as Love can be for the Packers, the offense is geared by Jacobs. The RB has at least 108 total yards in five straight games, averaging 118 ypg in that span. He can again be the catalyst against the banged-up Lions front seven.

NFL Odds: -115 at DraftKings

Jameson Williams, Over 49.5 Receiving Yards

If Alexander plays for the Packers, he’s likely to match up with Amon-Ra St. Brown. Either way, Williams is on track for another big night at home. In his four games since returning from suspension, Williams has accumulated at least 53 yards in three of them and as many as 124 yards. Prior to the suspensions, he gained 76-plus yards in all four starts and has 79-plus yards in four of five home starts.

NFL Odds: -120 at BetMGM
