The first 54 years of the Super Bowl never featured a team playing in its home stadium. Now it’s happening in consecutive seasons.

The Los Angeles Rams will face the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56 at SoFi Stadium, home of the Rams. Last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosted the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55, a game the Bucs won at Raymond James Stadium.

The Rams opened with NFL spreads of -3.5 in the first Super Bowl odds posted right after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 in the NFC Championship Game. The Rams are -175 on the immediate moneyline at DraftKings, with the Bengals posted at +145. The Over/Under is 51 points.

Underdog Bengals Face Rams In LA

The Bengals weren’t on the NFL betting radar when Super Bowl 56 odds were released a year ago. Their +15000 odds on July 20 were above only the Lions and Texans, and tied with the Jets on betting apps.

The Rams were +1200 on betting sites to win the Super Bowl prior to Week 1; only the Chiefs and Buccaneers had lower odds.

The Bengals are one of 12 teams that have never won a Super Bowl. They’ve been to two championship games, but each time fell short – each time against the Niners.

The Rams have played in four Super Bowls, the last just three years ago, a 13-3 loss to the Patriots. Seventeen years prior, they lost in Super Bowl 36, again to Tom Brady and the Pats, 20-17.

Kurt Warner led the Rams – then based in St. Louis – to a 23-16 win over the Titans in Super Bowl 34. They also played in Super Bowl 24, a 31-19 defeat to Terry Bradshaw and the Steelers.

Following the recent launches of mobile sports betting in New York and Louisiana, bettors in those states will have the opportunity to legally wager on the Super Bowl for the first time.

There are sure to be tons of deals and promos in the buildup to the game on Feb. 13, so make sure to bookmark our Caesars Sportsbook promo code page and our BetMGM bonus code page for the best offers at those sportsbooks.
