Tom Brady wrapped up his Hall of Fame career – again – and now the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have no choice but to move on from the man who not only led the franchise to a Super Bowl, but helped bring in a lot of the key pieces around him.

With Brady under center, the Buccaneers advanced to the postseason in all three seasons with a Super Bowl championship. The Bucs didn’t advance in the postseason in the 12 seasons prior to Brady's arrival.

Now they’re post-Brady, and there are many concerns to be addressed heading into the 2023 NFL Draft. One of them isn’t QB, with the free agent signing of Baker Mayfield. Mayfield and second-year QB Kyle Trask will presumably duel it out with the winner getting Week 1 starting honors.

Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has used his resources of NFL contacts developed over 20 years covering the league and the NFL Draft to create his hypothetical NFL futures odds on who gets selected 19th by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Who Will The Buccaneers Take In 2023 NFL Draft?

The Buccaneers are in a position, both in the draft and with their current roster, to go the “best available” route and take it from there. When it comes to priorities, Tampa must be looking to improve the situations at offensive tackle and running back, and all three levels of the defense with the backfield getting extra priority.

Bijan Robinson Odds To Be Drafted By Buccaneers

With Leonard Fournette out of the picture, running back has become a spot of need. Bijan Robinson could go anywhere from No. 10 to No. 30 in the draft based on team need and the philosophy of not using a high pick on a position that has dwindled in importance. But the Texas RB is compared to Saquon Barkley, a do-everything back that could make a huge difference to a team.

With Mayfield under center, Tampa is going to want an RB that can more than hold his own. Tampa finished dead-last in rushing last year. Robinson is it.

But if Robinson is gone, there will be no shortage of options at No. 19 that could help Tampa Bay immediately.

Brian Branch is the top safety in the draft. The Alabama product has the ability to cover receivers in the slot as well, offering versatility to a team that’s in need of both spots. Branch makes a lot of sense for a team with issues at both safety and corner.

If Tennessee offensive tackle Darnell Wright is there at No. 19, that might be tough to pass up. He could be plugged into a spot of major need.

Linebacker and edge rusher are other spots of need, though perhaps slightly less than the above-mentioned.

The Field is the favorite for a reason. There are a lot of needs and no guarantees that any of the above players will be available at No. 19. Or several of them might. It’s all part of the fun and fury of the NFL Draft. Maryland CB Deonte Banks , Pittsburgh DT Calijah Kancey, Clemson edge Myles Murphy, USC WR Jordan Addison; Tampa will have a huge decision to make when it’s on the clock.
