The NFL Playoffs begin this weekend with 6 games on Saturday-Monday. Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings/Detroit Lions will be on the bye.

The NFL Wild Card weekend begins on Saturday with a pair of AFC matchups.

Bettors will have the opportunity to wager on 3 games on Sunday, in addition to the Monday night game.

The top NFC playoff spot was determined Sunday night in the final game of the NFL season.

In the AFC, the Broncos clinched the final spot in the conference with a 38-0 rout of the no-show Chiefs in Week 18. The AFC seeding was settled thanks to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ win on Saturday, and the Chargers’ win over the Raiders.

In the AFC, the Bills took the East, the Texans won the South, the Ravens captured the North, and the Chiefs won again in the West. In the NFC, the Eagles won the East, the Bucs won the South for the 4th straight season, the Rams took the West, and the Lions/Vikings won Sunday night to ice the North and the No. 1 overall NFC seed.

Be wary. Underdogs are 24-12 ATS (67%) in the past 7 Wild Card Weekend. They went 4-2 ATS last year.

Over in the NFL regular season, favorites dominated early in the season before slipping late. Still, favorites went 140-120-7 (53.8%) ATS. And on the road, favorites went 57-44-5 (56.4%). And the overs hit 141 times or 53.6% of the time.

2025 NFL Wild Card Best Bets: Game-By-Game Analysis

2025 NFL Wild Card Playoff Weekend, Betting Predictions & Best Bets To Back 2

Saturday, January 11 (AFC)
(5) Los Angeles Chargers at (4) Houston Texans, 4:30 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: Jim Harbaugh leads the Chargers into the playoffs in his first season as coach. They draw an injury-depleted Texans team. Houston emerged unscathed by further injury in its 23-14 win over Tennessee Sunday. The Chargers locked up the AFC’s top wildcard see at No. 5 with a 34-20 win over the Raiders. LA is playing terrific football, having won 3 straight to close the regular season. LA overperformed on the line – tying the Broncos at 12-5 ATS for the best number in the AFC. The Texans struggled on the line, finishing a disappointing 7-8-2. LA brings a varied offensive attack and the NFL’s top-scoring defense (17.6 PPG) into Reliant Stadium. Harbaugh has the Bolts juiced for the Wild Card road win – as a favorite – and their next step.

Best Bet: Chargers -2.5 (-118) DraftKings

Saturday, January 11 (AFC)
(6) Pittsburgh Steelers at (3) Baltimore Ravens, 8 p.m. (Prime Video)

Buzz: The Ravens demolished the Browns Saturday to wrap up the AFC North before the Steelers fell 19-17 to the Bengals in their regular-season finale. These teams split during the regular season. But the Ravens tore up Pittsburgh’s defense at home 34-17 just a couple of weeks ago. The Steelers were stuffed by Cincinnati’s defense in Week 18. The Ravens' defense has continued to show progress as the season moved toward its conclusion. Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson are built for a deep playoff run. They combined for 391 yards rushing and passing, along with 3 TDs against Pittsburgh in Week 16. Jackson shattered multiple NFL barriers this season. He threw 41 TDs against just 4 picks. And he threw for 4,000+ yards while running for 900+ yards. The Ravens are ready to roll. Expect chilly and cloudy conditions.

Best Bet: Ravens -8.5 (-110) FanDuel

Best Bet: Under 46.5 Points (-110) FanDuel

Sunday, January 12 (AFC)
(7) Denver Broncos at (2) Buffalo Bills, 1 p.m. (CBS)

Buzz: The No. 2 seed Bills welcome rookie QB Bo Nix in their playoff opener. The cold and wind of Buffalo won’t be an issue for the Broncos. But the Bills will be. The matchup here will be the Broncos’ vaunted defense against likely MVP and do-it-all QB Josh Allen. He threw for 3,731 yards, ran for another 531 yards, and totaled 40 TDs on the ground and in the air. The Broncos need to also find an answer for James Cook. He finished the season with 981 yards rushing and 15 TDs. The Broncos gave up just 19.4 PPG this season (5th best in the NFL). They tied the Chargers for the best overall record ATS in the AFC at 12-5. But they only have 2 wins against playoff teams - and one of those was the Chiefs' tap-out in Week 18. They lost a pair of games that could have clinched playoff berths before Week 18.  And teams like the Broncos - who did not make the playoffs last year - are just 10-22 (31%) ATS over the past 2 seasons against teams that did.

Best Bet: Bills -8.5 (-112) DraftKings

Sunday, January 12 (NFC)
(7) Green Bay Packers at (2) Philadelphia Eagles, 4:30 p.m. (FOX)

Buzz: These teams met in Game 2 of the NFL season. It ended with the Eagles claiming a 34-29 win in Brazil. Saquon Barkley put the NFL on notice this would be a special season for him as he scored 3 TDs. The Eagles sat their regulars in Week 18 and are expected to be fully healthy. The Packers lost TE Christian Watson in their Week 18 for the postseason and QB Jordan Love injured his elbow. The Eagles will be happy to keep the ball on the ground here and away from Love. After losing the Super Bowl 2 years ago, Jalen Hurts & Company is in “Title Or Bust” mode. Look for Philly to control this one on both sides of the ball

Best Bet: Eagles -3.5 (-112) DraftKings

Best Bet: Under 47 Points (-124) FanDuel

Sunday, January 12 (NFC)
(6) Washington Commanders at (3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 8 p.m. (NBC/Peacock)

Buzz: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers open the playoffs at home as NFC South champions for the 4th season in a row. Tampa Bay beat Washington, 37-20 in Jayden Daniels' NFL debut. But he recovered and will win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. The Commanders return to the playoffs as a Wild Card for the first time since 2020. In that game, they lost to the Bucs and Tom Brady at home before Tampa Bay went on to win the Super Bowl. Daniels gets his first postseason start against a Bucs’ defense that has been spotty at times against mobile QBs. Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans are ripping apart opposing defenses. Tampa Bay has averaged 399.5 YPG. Tampa Bay and Washington are 4th and 5th with 29.5 PPG and 28.5 PPG, respectively. They’re also nearly even on defense, with Tampa Bay allowing 22.6 PPG and Washington allowing 23.0 PPG. The Bucs and Commanders have combined to win 11 of their past 12 games. The Commanders have won 5 in a row. And Tampa Bay holds the betting edge, having covered in 4 straight games.

Best Bet: Commanders +3.5 (-115) FanDuel

Best Bet: Under 50.5 Points (-110) FanDuel

Monday, January 13 (NFC)
(5) Minnesota Vikings at (4) LA Rams, 8 p.m. (ESPN/ABC)

Buzz: The NFC West champion Rams play host to a team that won 14 games but came up short in the NFC North. The Vikings got demolished by the Lions Sunday night in a game that knocked them from a potential No. 1 spot in the NFC all the way down to the No. 5 spot and road game at SoFi. Vikings QB Sam Darnold reverted to his Jets/Panthers form and the Lions gave the Rams plenty of film on how to stop the Vikings passing game. (Heavy man-to-man coverage.) Meanwhile, the Vikings had no answer for Jahmyr Gibbs (3 TDs). The Rams have improved steadily in the 2nd half of the season. And Matt Stafford has all the tools available in his toolbox. We caught a glimpse of what is to come when WR Puka Nacua and RB Kyren Williams amassed 227 yards and a TD when the Rams beat the Vikings 30-20 in Week 8. That game launched LA on a 6-game win streak that clinched the NFC West in Week 17.

Best Bet: Rams +2.5 (-110) DraftKings
