Best NFL Week 12 Player Props: Analysis
49ers RB Christain McCaffrey: Under 74.5 Rushing Yards
Odds: -110 DraftKings
49ers RB Christain McCaffrey: Anytime TD
Odds: -160 DraftKings
Best Bet: Christain McCaffrey has been back from his Achilles' injury for 2 weeks. He's gotten plenty of touches. But his production has been limited. He's been on the field for 115 of the team's snaps and gotten 32 carries for just 118 yards (3.7 YPC). McCaffrey missed practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday, ostensibly to recuperate. Kyle Shanahan no doubt wants to load up McCaffrey with as many touches as possible. But he's not quite 100%. The juice here is favorable as well. The 49ers, still use CMC to get into the end zone against the Packers. He's scored in 25 of 30 games. He will find the end zone again on Sunday.
Bucs WR Mike Evans: Over 60 Receiving Yards
Odds: +110 FanDuel
Best Bet: Baker Mayfield's binky - Mike Evans - returns to the lineup this week after Tampa Bay's bye and 4 games missed due to a hamstring injury. A return against the New York Giants offers a perfect get-right opportunity for the the explosive Evans. He will undoubtedly draw plenty of coverage. But the Giants' secondary will be overmatched against Evans, who has quietly become a sure-fire Hall of Famer in the past 2 years. In order to ice his spot in Canton, Evans aims to go over 1,000 yards receiving for the 11th time in his 11 seasons with the Buccaneers. He needs 95 YPG the rest of the way without missing another start. Mayfield has made it clear that Evans reaching his magic number is "important to us."
Patriots TE Hunter Henry: Anytime TD
Odds: +310 FanDuel
Best Bet: The Patriots visit South Florida Sunday. Surprisingly, these teams are separated by just 2 games in the AFC East standings. The Patriots may begin to eschew those short field goals given the way they bungled things last week. This means getting Drake Maye being able to get creative in the Red Zone. Hunter Henry is clearly his most reliable target. But Henry's only scored just 1 TD this season in 66 targets. That changes this week at Hard Rock Stadium.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce: Anytime TD
Odds: +125 FanDuel
Best Bet: The Chiefs will be without RB Isiah Pacheco again this week. That puts a further strain on the rest of the Chiefs offense, which fizzled last week in KC's first loss of the season, to Buffalo. Travis Kelce caught just 2 balls for 8 yards in that loss to the Bills and took himself and his teammates to task for a lack of preparedness. The Chiefs face Carolina this week. The Panthers' defense gives Patrick Mahomes the perfect opportunity to spread the ball around and help his tight end return to form, and the end zone. Kelce has only scored twice this season. But Carolina is giving up an NFL-worst 31 PPG this season, and an NFL-high 7 TDs to opposing tight ends.
Chargers WR Ladd McConkey: Over 67,5 Receiving Yards
Odds: -115 FanDuel
Buzz: The Los Angeles Chargers (7-3) have the No. 1 AFC wildcard after 10 games. The Chargers nearly short-circuited in Week 11, blowing a 21-point lead before barely beating Cincinnati 34-27. The silver lining in that near-disaster was the play of Justin Herbert and his receiving corps. Rookie WR Ladd McConkey has earned Herbert's trust. He's averaging 87.5 receiving yards in LA's past 4 games, stacking 19 catches on 24 targets with 2 TDs. This week, Herbert & Friends face the NFL's worst pass defense in the form of the Baltimore Ravens, who are giving up 284.5 yards passing per outing. That leaves plenty of McConkey.
