FanDuel Reveals Red Sox vs Yankees Cash Per Run Promo
The most well-known rivalry in all baseball and possibly sports, the two teams battling in the American League East will go head-to-head in a four-game series that begins Thursday night in New York and runs through Sunday.
With the popularity of this rivalry, FanDuel has decided to run a special offer for those interested in wagering on the series.
The promotion is only good for tonight's game as well as Friday's game, however, and will not be included for Saturday or Sunday.
Cash Per Runs
Beginning Thursday night, bettors must opt-in to a minimum of a $25 bet on a pregame moneyline. Bettors can pick either the Red Sox or the Yankees, but it must be a pregame moneyline bet.
This means that the promotion will not be available for any prop bets or any live in-game betting.
Once bettors select a team to win for the minimum $25, they will then receive an extra $5 for every run their team scores.
The promotion is limited to one person per game and there is no cash out betting available. There is also a $50 maximum bonus.
There are also plenty of MLB odds boosts that Fan Duel has offered for this today's slate of games, which includes a Gary Sanchez bet for the Yankees game tonight.
Red Sox vs Yankees
The game itself will be exciting, to say the least, as both teams are more than capable of going to the World Series in what is a tough division.
For Thursday night's game, the Yankees are underdogs as they have odds to win at +126 while the Red Sox are favored with odds to win at -144.
The odds are a bit surprising considering New York is the home team and the Yankees have also won six straight night games against teams from the American League.
However, the pitching matchup favors Boston with Chris Sale on the mound. Despite his early struggles in the season, Sale has bounced back somewhat.
Sale has seen six or more innings in five of his last six starts and has seen double-digit strikeouts in four of his last five games.
In fact, one of his double-digit strikeout performances saw Sale record 17 strikeouts against the Rockies.
As well as Sale has pitched though, the Red Sox have only won three games with Sale on the mound out of a possible 11.
The Yankees, on the other hand, have won nine of their last 11 games with J.A. Happ taking the mound tonight.
Happ saw one of his better starts of the season last time he pitched, which included a season-high 10 strikeouts against the Kansas City Royals.
Last time he faced Boston he also went 6.1 innings while only giving up three earned runs. The Yankees have also won four straight games when Happ is starting.
