The first run of events is nearly complete for the would-be professional golf disruptors, with the penultimate 2022 tournament set to tee off this week at LIV Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. 

The host nation is also the source of LIV’s multiple billions of dollars in resources, which has allowed Greg Norman and Co. to poach a few top players from the PGA Tour with nine-figure contracts. 

LIV is still dealing with an emergency of its own making as the series is not recognized by the Official World Golf Rankings, largely because the 54-hole, no-cut events with no qualifying process of note are non-compliant with several OWGR requirements. 

But the show goes on for now as LIV wraps up a bizarre, tumultuous first year in existence.  Johnson is the golf betting favorite yet again on betting sites and betting apps with +400 odds. Given the small fields and massive discrepancy in quality from top to bottom, the LIV betting board tends to look nearly identical from week to week. 

British Open champ Cameron Smith and Joaquin Niemann are next with golf odds of +800, while Talor Gooch rounds out the top four at +1600.

Varner was one of a handful of Tour players who made the jump while still firmly in their prime. His move was more well-received than others as Varner didn’t sugarcoat the issue, admitting the mind-blowing money was the major factor in his decision. 

It took Varner a while to get comfortable with the new gig. He finished 34^th in Boston and 26^th in Chicago against fields he should have been taking advantage of. But the whirlwind that follows whenever a player signs on with LIV has to take a toll, at least initially. 

Varner seemed more comfortable last week and logged a seventh-place finish in Bangkok. He will also have great memories returning to the same course where he scored the biggest win of his career earlier this year at the Saudi International.

LIV Golf Jeddah Betting Tips

This is a rare LIV event in which there’s significant course history to go on for some players in the field.
