NASCAR Pocono 350 Odds, Tips & Predictions For Sunday Race

NASCAR Pocono 350 Odds, Tips & Predictions For Sunday Race

One NASCAR Cup Series race down, one more to go at Pocono Raceway. Co-odds favorite Kevin Harvick on Saturday recorded his first career victory on the big Pennsylvania triangle, and Sunday’s Pocono 350 will complete the first weekend doubleheader in the modern history of NASCAR’s premier circuit.

In another late-afternoon start with no qualifying or practice, expect teams to lean hard on what worked Saturday, and so should you when betting on NASCAR . Here are three drivers to consider backing in Sunday’s second half of the Pocono double.

Ryan Blaney

That No. 12 car is still fast, and Blaney is up to second in Cup Series points after a torrid run eight-race run that included his victory last weekend at Talladega. Expect different pit strategy, and the same speed we’ve become used to seeing from the former Pocono winner. He’s worth a top-three wager, if you’re not quite bold to take him to win. Kyle Busch

Busch’s recent Pocono results are just ridiculous — his fifth-place run Saturday marked his eighth consecutive finish of ninth or better at the track, a span that includes three victories. Although Busch didn’t lead a lap on Saturday, expect crew chief Adam Stevens to coax a little more speed out of the No. 18 car, which is why he’s the favorite.

Saturday’s run also gives us a little more confidence in Busch after an inconsistent stretch that saw him finish 19th or worse in three of his previous seven events. The co-odds favorite with Harvick for Saturday’s race, Busch doesn’t present much value for a top-three wager Sunday, so if you’re going to take him, do it to win. You can make the bet at 888sport.

Aric Almirola

While we haven’t been very high on the Stewart-Haas driver for much of this season, Saturday’s run at Pocono continued a resurgence for the pilot of the No. 10 car. Almirola’s third-place result in the first half of the doubleheader marked his third straight finish of fifth or better, which included a third-place finish last week at Talladega.

He’s also showing continued improvement in Pocono, with top-10s now in two of his last three starts. Although it would still take a lot of courage to wager on Almirola to win — something he’s done just twice, and both times on a restrictor-plate track — his recent results merit consideration Sunday.
