'Shark Tank' has been a fixture on ABC prime time since debuting 15 seasons ago in 2009, but a major change is on the horizon. Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner and a host on the show since Season 3 has announced that Season 16 will be his last.

The show that’s sparked hundreds of products over the years plans to continue past Season 16 with venerable hosts Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, and Kevin O’Leary.

So it will likely find a replacement for Cuban, the most well-known of the sharks before the show’s exposure. It will be big shoes to fill.

Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has surveyed the landscape and has revealed his odds as to who takes Cuban’s chair on the row.

Who Will Be the Next Guest Shark?

"Next year, our 16th year, is gonna be my last year, so I got one more year to go," Cuban said on an NBA podcast.

Preferably, ABC will want to bring on a “brand name” to take the spot of the most recognized of the sharks. We can look at past guest sharks to get an idea of who might come aboard.

Ashton Kutcher, Richard Branson, Alex Rodriguez, Charles Barkley, Maria Sharapova, Kevin Hart, and Gwyneth Paltrow have all done guest spots on “Shark Tank”. Most of them might lead The Field, though Rodriguez, worth around $350 million, has a company that works extensively with start-ups, and Kutcher and Paltrow would be huge gets.

Kylie Jenner, worth more than $600 million, would be the Crown Jewel of gets.

Michael Rubin, CEO of Fanatics, and Tony Zu, co-founder and CEO of Door Dash, are each slated to be guests on this current season of “Shark Tank”. Rubin has been highly aggressive with building Fanatics and building his brand and could relish a spot while bringing a level of energy similar to Cuban.

Daniel Lubetzky isn’t a huge name, but he has earned guest shark spots in each of the last five seasons. The founder of Kind LLC (Kind Bars) seems in a good spot to take over a chair.

Emma Grede, co-founder of Good American Denim who works with the Kardashians and other Hollywood elites on brands, has had guest spots over the last three seasons, while Brit Peter Jones has been more prevalent.

Grede got Cuban’s seal of approval. When asked who he thinks should replace him on the board, she was his selection
