UFC Fight Night 190: Gane vs Volkov Odds & Betting Preview
Promo Code: BOOKIES
On Saturday, the UFC continues its summer run with another Fight Night event from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. As the final fight card before the UFC 264 mega-event, UFC Fight Night 190 is a big UFC betting event in its own right. So the UFC is rolling out the big guns with a heavyweight doubleheader.
In the co-main event, Tanner Boser has his second fight in three weeks when he takes on former light-heavyweight title contender Ovince Saint Preux. Then, in the main event, third-ranked heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane faces No. 5 Alexander Volkov in a clash with serious title implications.
Ciryl Gane vs. Alexander Volkov Betting Analysis & Predictions
Gane is the latest hot prospect in the heavyweight division. An athletic specimen with a successful Muay Thai background, Gane is perfect in his MMA career at 8-0, with five wins coming in the UFC. As his background suggests, Gane is a technically proficient striker with very good defense and KO power.
But, though striking is his bread and butter, Gane also has impressed with his grappling. In his first two UFC bouts, Gane secured submission wins, showing a well-rounded skill set that could serve him well against Alexander Volkov.
Volkov is one of the most accomplished fighters in the division. A former M-1 and Bellator champion, Volkov joined the UFC in 2016; he is 7-2 in the promotion, including wins over Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum. Volkov, the underdog at online sportsbooks, is a striker by trade and uses his enormous length (he’s 6 feet 7 with an 80-inch reach) to keep his opponents on the outside where he picks them off with jabs and body shots.

UFC Fight Night 190 Best Bet: Gane vs. Volkov Odds To Back
Given both men’s backgrounds, this fight should be contested primarily on the feet, making the dynamics pretty simple. Both men are technically capable strikers but Gane is the more powerful puncher and the better defensive fighter. On top of that, Gane is also the more dangerous grappler should it go to the ground. He even shares the same reach as Volkov, mitigating the one major advantage Volkov brings into most fights.
Barring a bad night in the office, this should be a straightforward win for Gane and is the play at the best sports betting sites. Gane to win at -168 with FanDuel is a good bet. Check out our FanDuel sportsbook review as well.
