The road to SummerSlam is really starting to heat up and so are the odds for some of the top matches for WWE’s “Biggest Party of the Summer.” The event goes Canadian this year, emanating Aug. 18 from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Many of the superstars with maple leaf ties will have a bit of a home-field advantage as a result. Let’s take a look at a handful of these anticipated bouts on the show and where the odds are going.

Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins - Universal Championship

Just when we thought we were finished seeing Brock and Seth fight each other, the “Beast Incarnate” came back into the title picture. He successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at Extreme Rules. A brutal beatdown on Raw followed by Lesnar on Rollins. Heading into the fall, I don’t see Lesnar dropping the gold so soon. Rollins is a reliable fixture on WWE television delivering stellar performances, but his ability to draw ratings and houses remains up for debate. This might factor in the company’s decision to go back to Lesnar, who you can bet on retaining at 5/14 on 888sport.

Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton - WWE Championship

Kingston’s run as WWE champion has been consistent with a series of decisive victories over some main event caliber opponents. Next up is someone from his past in Orton, who got the better of him now a decade ago. The story is Kingston hoping to prove he was worthy of going to the next level by defeating a major rival. With WWE moving SmackDown Live to Friday nights and FOX, it’s crucial for the company to have the right person in place to represent the blue brand.

There are still a few months left before we find out who this is going to be. It could very well be Kingston. Maybe the company is still deciding, but I don’t think we’ll find out just yet. I can see Kingston getting the victory to further solidify him in the eyes of the fans at the top of the mountain. At the same time, I do feel his days are numbered. Chances are he’ll drop the title not long before or on the first FOX SmackDown Live. You can bet on Kingston at - 4/9 on 888sport.

Becky Lynch vs. Natalya - WWE Raw Women’s Championship

Things have gotten personal between Lynch and Natalya and this matchup is now elevated to a submission match. It will be interesting to watch how the crowd responds when the normally fan-favourite Lynch takes on another face in Natalya, who might have the edge on audience reaction knowing Canada is Hart country. Though that doesn’t necessarily mean the daughter of the late Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart will leave a winner. Lynch is gracing the cover of WWE 2K20 alongside Roman Reigns.

Marketing is one factor why WWE would want to keep the championship around the waist of “The Man”. Knowing how close Natalya is with Ronda Rousey, someone who lost for the first time to Lynch at WrestleMania. I would never rule out an unexpected appearance from the UFC Hall of Famer as there is clearly some unfinished business. You can bet on Lynch at 2/5 on 888sport.

Charlotte Flair vs. Trish Stratus

Charlotte has been posturing herself on WWE television as the “Queen of All Eras”. This led to Stratus stepping up to the plate to challenge the decorated women’s champion who unseated her record for reigns. Stratus retired from regular competition in her hometown of Toronto in 2006. Since then, the mom and entrepreneur has laced up the boots every now and then.

This latest match appears to me as a passing of the torch to the daughter of "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, adding another jewel in her proverbial crown. Seeing Flair defeat Stratus in front of family and friends is the ultimate way to elevate the SmackDown Live performer to even bigger heights. You can bet on Flair at 3/10 on 888sports.

Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano - NXT Championship

Historically, on the eve of one of WWE’s big events is an NXT TakeOver show, which spotlights the superstars of its developmental brand. Headlining the card in Canada is Adam Cole, who is defending his title against Johnny Gargano in the latest match of their long-running feud, this time in a two-out-of-three falls match. These opponents have already torn the house down on multiple occasions, even with similar stipulations. Gargano won the vacant championship in Brooklyn during WrestleMania weekend while Cole took it in June in Bridgeport.

Seeing how high the company is on the leader of the “Undisputed Era,” I think it’s sooner rather than later Cole graduates to the main roster. Gargano has also flirted with Raw and SmackDown. So either can make the move at any time, but with rumors of NXT getting a bigger platform thanks to the Fox deal and competition of All Elite Wrestling, they’re going to want star power. Cole can bring that representation so we will cautiously go with him. You can bet Cole at 1/2 on 888sports. Interesting enough, Cole is favored by the same margin to earn the first fall.

NOTE: Betting on the WWE is not legalized in the US but heavily bet on in Europe.
