Player Hits – Asdrubal Cabrera Over 0.5 | Bet it at -165 with 888sport

PICK 1: Nationals Moneyline

This is the first World Series to feature the road team winning the first six games, so why not make it seven? Road teams have won the last three Game 7s in the World Series. The Astros are 4-6 all-time at home when trying to close out a series, while the Nationals are 1-1 trying to celebrate on the road, the win having come in Game 5 against the Dodgers three weeks ago.

PICK 2: Astros Run Line

The Nationals remain my pick, but once again, if you’re on the Astros, better to do so with the run line than laying odds. This series has had only one game decided by one run, and Houston has played only one other one-run game the entire postseason, the extra-inning Game 2 of the ALCS.

One of the Astros’ primary routes to victory for this game is that Max Scherzer’s health woes lead to Houston jumping out in front big early and never looking back. Grab the more favorable odds.

PICK 3: Under Run Total

Somewhat surprisingly for how long they’ve been around, this is only the fourth Max Scherzer-Zack Greinke matchup. In the previous three, Scherzer has gone 2-1 with a 1.89 ERA, while Greinke has gone 1-2 with a 2.91 mark.

Those games were in 2009, 2014 and 2015, and while players such as Gerardo Parra and Howie Kendrick did feature, there’s not a whole lot you can read into it, except what we already know: These are two of the best pitchers of the past decade, matching up in a winner-take-all game in the World Series.

While it’s often the case that marquee pitching matchups don’t become memorable duels, this one should.

PICK 4: Zack Greinke Strikeouts

Greinke struggled in Game 3 in Washington, allowing 10 baserunners in 4.2 innings. He still managed six strikeouts and has had at least five K’s in 10 of his 14 starts as a member of the Astros, including all four in the playoffs. And it’s not like Greinke has been going deep into games in the postseason – he’s failed to complete five innings in three of those four starts.

PICK 5: Asrdubal Cabrera Hits

Asrdrubal Cabrera’s single and double off Greinke in Game 3 brought the Nationals’ second baseman to 18-for-40 in his career against the Houston righty. Since Greinke left that game in Washington, Cabrera is 0-for-6 in two appearances off the bench and a start in Game 6. He’s managed a base hit off Madison Bumgarner in a winner-take-all game before, so you can imagine that Cabrera is up to this occasion.
