It’s NASCAR All-Star Race week, but this year’s annual exhibition is at Bristol Motor Speedway instead of Charlotte. That means a first All-Star Race on a short track, in this case the same one where Brad Keselowski won in May.
Kevin Harvick is the odds favorite, though it’s important for bettors to know that the rules Wednesday (8:30 p.m, ET, FS1) are different from those in a standard event. There are four stages rather than three, with only green-flag laps counting in the final segment. The race also must end under a checkered flag, and two drivers from a preliminary race (the winner and another chosen by fan vote) advance to the main event.
This is an elite field dominated by the sport’s big boys, with the potential for plenty of contact on Bristol’s 0.533-mile bullring. Here’s who to consider for NASCAR betting Wednesday.

Kevin Harvick
Since NASCAR resumed in May following its coronavirus hiatus, no driver has been better than Kevin Harvick. He has finished outside the top 10 just twice in 13 races over that span. In his past four starts Harvick has been fourth or better, with two wins. Harvick is very good at Bristol, where he has won twice, and he has an excellent tactician in crew chief Rodney Childers — that’s key because of the between-segment pit stops that often determine the running order for the final stage. The No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford has been fast off the truck almost every week and Harvick has both the talent and the mentality to excel in a short-track exhibition that promises to be more rough-and-tumble than a typical race. Bet on Harvick to win at +450 with FanDuel .
Kyle Busch
What’s the matter with Kyle Busch? He has finished 19th or worse five times in his past 10 starts and tumbled to 11th in points. Busch’s erraticism of late him has made him a difficult choice for bettors, but an All-Star Race is a different animal. Plus, nobody’s better at Bristol. His eight wins there lead all active drivers and Busch has finished worse than fourth just once in his past five Bristol starts. Maybe steer clear of him Sunday at Texas — but on his best track, in a format that rewards risk-taking, with no points at stake and odds that offer very good value, Busch would be hard to pass up. Bet on Busch at +700 with BetRivers.

Brad Keselowski
The most recent Bristol winner at +800? That’s strong value for a driver who has finished in the top 10 in all but two of his past 12 starts. Brad Keselowski is second in Cup Series points behind Harvick. Keselowski has endured some really rough stretches on the Tennessee short track, but when he’s good there, he’s very good. And the former series champion has been great at Bristol his past two starts, finishing third last fall and first this May. Expect crew chief Jeremy Bullins to take a lot of what worked on that No. 2 car in May and carry it over to an All-Star event with no practice or qualifying. Bet on Keselowski at +800 with Unibet.
