It was always a little strange to see the bookmakers regarding Newcastle as the most formidable of the promoted teams to the Premier League considering that Rafael Benitez wasn’t given a huge amount of money to strengthen the squad.

While the Magpies still have their heads above water after fifteen games played, they are sliding down the Premier League table and the Tyneside club have managed just one point in their last six matches.

This clash against Leicester is the first of a double header at St James’ Park, with Everton visiting next week and Benitez would dearly love to secure four points from the two matches.

The last two home games have ended in defeat and no goals scored. Bournemouth secured a 1-0 victory before Watford scored three and improvement is required.

Dwight Gayle is looking sharp for United, scoring against Manchester United and Chelsea, with last season’s top scorer looking to find the net against a Leicester side who are enjoying a resurgence under Claude Puel.

It should be noted that the Frenchman replaced Craig Shakespeare after the latter presided over a tough run of games, while the Foxes have still only won one match away from home this season.

That came against basement boys Swansea, with Leicester unable to win at West Ham and Stoke despite bright starts to the game.

The Midlands club have four away draws on the board and the 12/5 with Black Type free bets that this game goes the same way makes plenty of appeal.
