Didier Deschamps demonstrated with his team selection against Albania that he wasn’t afraid to drop the so-called stars, with Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann having to contend with being substitutes.

However, both could be recalled for this final group game against Switzerland, with France looking to finish off the job of landing top spot in the section and giving themselves a brilliant chance of progressing to the semi-final.

Les Bleus need just a point against the Swiss to make sure of that spot in the draw, with Deschamps pondering whether to persist with lively wingers Anthony Martial and Kingsley Coman or revert back to the original plan.

Switzerland arrive with qualification also in the bag although they will fancy a pot shot at the hosts and a chance to land an easier-looking passage through to the latter stages of the competition.

They have been involved in two low-scoring encounters thus far, with one goal enough to beat ten-men Albania before a 1-1 draw against a Romania side who took the lead before being pegged back.

Therefore, perhaps we’ll see a tight clash here and a goalless draw can’t be ruled out, especially if the scoreline is 0-0 at half-time and France simply want to keep what they have.

The hosts are somewhat reliant on the brilliant Dimitri Payet for creativity and Switzerland will look to nullify the West Ham winger, with the player having scored in both games to date in addition to assisting Olivier Giroud in the opener.

We’ll stick with Under 1.5 Goals although don’t be surprised if there’s a stalemate in Lille.
