This weekend the UFC returns with its final Pay-Per-View event of the year and this one is a doozy. UFC 269 features two title fights and an astonishing 18 ranked fighters on the card, with a number of other prospects and veteran names to boot. It's going to be a fun one, with plenty of juicy odds available on betting sites and betting apps.

In the co-main event, the greatest female fighter of all time, Amanda Nunes, defends her bantamweight title against outspoken challenger Julianna Peña and in the main event, champion Charles Oliveira takes on top contender Dustin Poirier in a lightweight battle for the ages. There's plenty to analyze from a UFC betting perspective, so let's dive in.

Charles Oliveira vs. Dustin Poirier Fight Analysis

The main event on Saturday features arguably the most accomplished title fight in UFC history. When they face off, Oliveira and Poirier will combine for the most fights (54), wins (39), finishes (30), and bonuses (29) ever for a championship bout. This is truly an unprecedented fight.

One of the most dynamic grapplers in the UFC, Oliviera has made a career out of twisting his opponents into knots on the floor. The all-time leader in submission wins in the UFC, Oliveira has also added a potent striking game that saw him turn the tide against Michael Chandler in their lightweight title bout in May.

On the other side of the cage, Poirier is one of the most effective boxers in the UFC, blending power shots and a crisp jab with some of the best defensive work in the sport. It’s his striking defense that has really been a revelation for Poirier over the last few years as it has allowed him to go toe-to-toe and triumph over some of the most dangerous strikers in MMA.

A BJJ black belt, Poirier is no slouch on the ground either, and he’s a superior wrestler to Oliveira as well, both offensively and defensively.

Oliveira vs. Poirier UFC 269 Best Bet

Oliveira is on an incredible run but sadly, that run ends on Saturday night. Though Oliveira proved he’s not as prone to quitting as he once was by surviving Michael Chandler’s onslaught, “Do Bronx” still showed that he has defensive issues on the feet and a crackable chin.

Poirier is extremely savvy and schooled enough to survive on the ground should Oliveira get a takedown, and on the feet this will quickly turn into one-way traffic. Poirier should secure the stoppage somewhere in the middle part of the fight so Poirier by KO/TKO at +125 on FOX Bet is the suggested play.

Other Bets To Make At UFC 269

Amanda Nunes vs. Julianna Peña: Amanda Nunes is widely considered to be the greatest female fighter of all time and it is generally accepted that she is still in her prime. Meanwhile, Julianna Peña is a serviceable fighter who has lost to the best fighters she has faced. That should tell you all you need to know about this one. Though the outcome is a foregone conclusion, the method of victory is not and that's what we'll focus on when making our UFC picks.

While Nunes generally prefers to bludgeon her victims into unconsciousness, “The Lioness” is also a BJJ blackbelt and has notable submission wins over Miesha Tate and Megan Anderson. Given the odds at sportsbooks, and given Peña’s penchant for getting submitted while trying to wrestle, Amanda Nunes by Submission at +420 on FanDuel is worth a play.

Dominick Cruz vs. Pedro Munhoz: Dominick Cruz is the former two-time bantamweight champion and believed by many to be the greatest 135er of all time. Unfortunately for Cruz, he’s also 36 years old and in his last few outings he has looked noticeably past his prime. Pedro Munhoz, on the other hand, is no spring chicken at 35 but the man still appears to be at the peak of his powers and just had a great fight against Jose Aldo in August.

Munhoz is a better striker, a solid wrestler, and just an overall much more active fighter. I think he can take a clean decision over Cruz so I like a play on him at +250 on FanDuel.
