The Octagon heads to London, England this Saturday for UFC London: Aspinall vs. Tybura. Two of the best heavyweights in the UFC meet in the headliner when Britain’s own Tom Aspinall takes on tough veteran Marcin Tybura.

The card is littered with European talent, as there are 15 fights overall, and many feature some of the best fighters from Europe. In this week’s  UFC picks for UFC London, we will break down the main event plus two other exciting fights.

UFC London Main Event Best Bet

Tom Aspinall (-440) vs. Marcin Tybura (+330)

In the main event of UFC London, England's Tom Aspinall fights Poland’s Marcin Tybura at heavyweight. Aspinall is a -440 betting apps favorite, and I like him to win this fight by stoppage.

Aspinall is 30 and he is one of the UK’s top up-and-coming fighters. He joined the UFC in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and quickly made a splash for himself with five straight finishes.

That earned him a big main event fight against top heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes, but Aspinall suffered an injury and lost via TKO. That was one year ago, and now he returns to the Octagon fully healed. As long as Aspinall is healthy, he should dominate this fight. He is a fantastic striker and grappler, and he absolutely should get the finish here.

Tybura is 37 and he has a solid 11-6 record inside the Octagon, including seven wins in his last eight fights. He has good wrestling and cardio, and that’s been enough for him to win a lot of fights in the Octagon. That being said, he doesn’t have a great chin, and generally, when he steps up in competition, he loses.

Tybura has been on a roll lately, but going up against such a talented and dangerous fighter like Aspinall, it’s difficult to see Tybura having much success.

I view this main event as a big mismatch. Look for Aspinall to make up for lost time by coming out fast early on and catching Tybura on the chin, knocking him out. Take Aspinall as a -440 betting favorite to win, and if you like betting on props, consider taking Aspinall by knockout.

Molly McCann (-255) vs. Julija Stoliarenko (+205)

In the co-main event, England’s Molly McCann fights Lithuania’s Julija Stoliarenko at women’s flyweight. McCann is a -255 betting favorite, and I like her to get a stoppage victory in this bout.

McCann is 33 and she has a 6-4 record since making her UFC debut in 2018. McCann was an average women’s flyweight for her first few years in the promotion, but she became a star when she knocked out Luana Carolina and Hannah Goldy last year, with both wins coming via spinning back elbow.

After that, McCann was matched up against top prospect Erin Blanchfield and was dominated on the ground. Throughout her UFC career, McCann’s defensive grappling has been an issue. But there is no doubt she has legit KO power, and that’s why she is a star.

Stoliarenko is 1-5 overall in the UFC, so she is lucky to get another fight in the promotion. At age 30, she is still relatively young, but she has not impressed in the UFC at all. She has been dominated in most of her fights and she was finished by TKO in her last outing against Chelsea Chandler.

She has also struggled to make weight in the past, so it’s very strange to see her moving down in weight. She will have a size advantage over McCann, and she will be live for a first-round submission because of it. But if she can’t finish this fight early, she won’t get the win.

I’m not sure why Stoliarenko is moving down to 125 lbs, but I believe the weight cut will be brutal for her and severely affect her durability, which was already poor. Look for Stoliarenko to have some early success with her grappling, but as the fight goes on, she will begin to tire.

That’s when McCann will take over, beating a tired opponent by knockout. Take McCann to win this fight as a -255 betting favorite, and take her to get the win by knockout for a prop bet.

Nathaniel Wood (-190) vs. Andre Fili (+160)

Also on the main card, England’s Nathaniel Wood battles American Andre Fili at featherweight. Wood is a -190 betting favorite, and I like him to win this fight.

Wood is 30 years old and he has an impressive 6-2 record in the UFC dating back to 2018. He has won three of his last four fights heading into this bout, including back-to-back decision wins over veterans Charles Rosa and Charles Jourdain.

Wood has always been considered a great prospect, but after stumbling a few times down at 135 lbs, he decided to move up to 145 lbs and so far the results have been great. He’s a strong grappler who can also stand and bang with his opponents, making him very well-rounded, and someone who is a dark horse at featherweight.

Fili is 33 and he has been in the UFC since 2013, racking up a 10-8, 1 NC record overall in the Octagon. The long-time featherweight has been in the cage with many of the division’s best fighters over the years, but his record is close to .500, showing how inconsistent he can be.

At his best, Fili is a talented striker and grappler who can finish his opponents on the floor and on the mat. But in recent years, he has struggled. He has won one fight in the last three years, and going up against a younger, hungrier fighter in Wood, this could be a bad matchup for him.

Look for a competitive three-round fight here, but at the end of 15 minutes, I expect Wood to get his hand raised after landing more significant strikes and having more takedowns and top control. Give me Wood as a -190 favorite to win, and take him to win by decision for a prop.
