UFC Vegas 113 Main Event Best Bet

Mario Bautista (-192) vs. Vinicius Oliveira (+160)

The main event of UFC Vegas 113 is a five-round bantamweight bout between Mario Bautista and Vinicius Oliveira. Bautista is a -192 favorite, and I believe he will get his hand raised.

Bautista is 32, and he is 10-3 in the UFC. The American joined the UFC in 2019, and he has had an excellent run since then, as he’s turned into one of the best fighters at 135 lbs, beating the likes of Jose Aldo, Patchy Mix, and Ricky Simon during his UFC run. He is coming off a loss to Umar Nurmagomedov, but there is no shame in losing to a top contender like that, and he also landed a knockdown in that bout. Overall, Bautista is a very well-rounded mixed martial artist. While he may never win the UFC bantamweight title, he is certainly a top-10 fighter in the weight class, and he represents a significant step up for Oliveira at this stage of his career.

Oliveira is 30, and he is 4-0 in the UFC. The Brazilian won a UFC contract following a standout victory on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023, and since then, he has won all four of his UFC contests. He has looked great, as his takedown defense has held up and his striking has been dynamic. In his last fight, he broke into the top-15 rankings with a win over Kyler Phillips. While that was an impressive win for Oliveira, Bautista is a different beast. He has the skills to win this fight, but it won’t be easy, and the odds justifiably have him listed as the underdog here.

Oliveira has looked fantastic so far in the UFC, but this is a major step up in competition against one of the division’s best fighters, who is more proven inside the Octagon. Ultimately, I think this will be a great learning experience for Oliveira, but I don’t think he will win this fight. Look for Oliveira to have a quick start to this fight, but as the rounds go on, look for Bautista to score more points and bank rounds. At the end of 25 minutes, I expect Bautista to get his hand raised by decision. Take Bautista to win as a -192 favorite in this fight.

Other UFC Vegas 113 Best Bets

Jailton Almeida (-148) vs. Rizvan Kuniev (+124)

In heavyweight action, Jailton Almeida takes on Rizvan Kuniev. Despite being a +124 underdog, I like Kuniev to pull off the upset.

Almeida is 34, and he is 8-2 in the UFC. The Brazilian earned a UFC deal following an impressive win on DWCS in 2021 when he was a light heavyweight. After winning his UFC debut, Almeida moved up to heavyweight, and overall, he has had a great run since then, winning six fights by stoppage. However, as Almeida has climbed the ladder and fought better competition at heavyweight, we have seen flaws in his game. For instance, in his last fight against Alexander Volkov, he was able to secure takedowns, but he didn’t inflict any damage and lost a split decision against a busier opponent. It feels like Almeida is finish-or-bust at this point, and going up against a fighter like Kuniev with solid takedown defense, this could end up being a tricky matchup for him. Almeida is still the favorite here, but don’t sleep on his opponent.

Kuniev is 33, and he is 0-1 in the UFC. The Russian won two fights on DWCS before finally getting a shot in the UFC. He almost pulled off a massive upset, losing to a close split decision to top contender Curtis Blaydes, a fight many fans and media thought he won. In the Blaydes fight, Kuniev showed excellent takedown defense and held his own on the feet. While he didn’t earn the decision, the way he fought showed that Kuniev can hang with top-10 heavyweights, and the UFC is rewarding him with another chance here against Almeida. It should also be noted that Kuniev was also training to fight Ryan Spann on this card, so he has had a full training camp for this fight, while Almeida took this fight on short notice.

Almeida will likely get Kuniev down in the first round, but I don’t think he will finish him, and as the fight goes on, the takedowns will become harder to get. On top of that, this fight is in Las Vegas, where judges do not award empty control time, so even if Almeida does get Kuniev down to the ground, as long as Kuniev is working off his back, he can still win rounds. Ultimately, I like Kuniev to sprawl-and-brawl his way to a decision win in this heavyweight contest. Take Kuniev to get the win as a +124 underdog on the judges’ scorecards.

Wang Cong (-355) vs. Eduarda Moura (+280)

In a women’s flyweight bout, we have Wang Cong taking on Eduarda Moura. Cong is a -355 favorite, and I like her to win this fight.

Cong is 33, and she is 3-1 in the UFC. The Chinese fighter earned a UFC deal after winning on Road to the UFC in 2024, and she immediately turned heads with a first-round KO win over Victoria Leonardo in her UFC debut. That led to Cong, a former pro kickboxer, getting a ton of hype, but she let down her backers when she was finished as a massive favorite against Gabriella Fernandes in her second UFC bout. Since then, Cong has racked up back-to-back wins and has looked impressive, getting back on track after the loss to Fernandes. She is an excellent striker with solid takedown defense and could soon be a contender at 125 lbs.

Moura is 31, and she is 3-1 in the UFC. The Brazilian joined the UFC in 2023 after earning a contract with a win on DWCS, and she had a terrific debut in the promotion with a knockout win. Since then, however, Moura has not really impressed, going to decision three times and edging out her last two opponents on the scorecards. She has also moved up to flyweight after missing weight at strawweight. At flyweight, her grappling isn’t as effective, and she’s not a great striker. She can grind out a win, but against Cong, she figures to struggle in this matchup if she can’t get the takedown, because if this fight stays standing, Cong is going to outstrike her on the feet.

Cong should be able to keep this fight standing and outland Moura over the course of 15 minutes to win a clear decision. Take Cong to win at -355, and look for her to win this fight on the judges’ scorecards.
