UFC returns after an off week this Saturday night for UFC Vegas 62: Grasso vs. Araujo. The card features 12 fights in total, including the main event between top-ranked women’s flyweights Alexa Grasso and Viviane Araujo.

We’ll break down the headliner and give our UFC picks for that fight and two other undercard bouts right here in our UFC Vegas 62 best bets rundown.

UFC Vegas 62 Main Event Best Bet

Alexa Grasso (-210) vs. Viviane Araujo (+180)

The headliner of UFC Vegas 62 features Alexa Grasso against Viviane Araujo in a five-round women’s flyweight bout. Grasso is a -210 favorite on UFC betting sites, and I am picking her to win this fight.

Grasso has been on the UFC roster since 2016, but it feels like she’s only just hitting her stride now. The 29-year-old Mexican has a 6-3 overall record inside the Octagon, though she has looked much improved since moving up to 125 lbs, going 3-0 in her new weight class.

Grasso has always had incredible striking skills, but she also showed in her last win over Joanne Wood that she is improving on the ground, too. That makes her an incredibly dangerous fighter in the women’s flyweight division, and maybe a future title contender with another couple of big wins.

UFC Vegas 62 Odds, Picks & Predictions For Grasso vs. Araujo 1

Araujo joined the UFC in 2019 and she’s gone 5-2 in the Octagon since. The 35-year-old Brazilian is also a fantastic striker and she has solid grappling skills to go along with it, making her a very well-rounded and dangerous fighter at 125 lbs.

Although Araujo doesn’t finish many of her opponents, she has the ability to go five hard rounds with anyone in her division. That being said, she has struggled when facing top competition in the past, so it will be interesting to see if she can get past Grasso in this fight, or if she stumbles once again against better competition.

Although Araujo will likely prove difficult to finish, I like Grasso to win a striking battle in this fight as a -210 betting favorite. For a prop on betting apps, you can take a look at Grasso by decision.

Other UFC Vegas 62 Best Bets

Alonzo Menifield (-205) vs. Misha Cirkunov (+175)

Kicking off the main card is a light heavyweight battle between Alonzo Menifield and Misha Cirkunov. Menifield is a -205 favorite, and I believe he will defeat Cirkunov in this bout.

Menifield has been in the UFC since 2019 and he’s gone 5-3 in that time, with four of those wins coming by way of stoppage. In his last fight, Menifield had perhaps his most impressive performance to date when he finished Askar Mozharov.

He has shown incredible power during his UFC career, and he also has improved his grappling. Overall, the 34-year-old Menifield has been inconsistent in the Octagon, but when he’s on, he can be one of the best fighters in the division, as he showed several years ago when he knocked out Paul Craig. Menifield might not be a UFC champion, but he has everything necessary to be a top-15 light heavyweight.

Cirkunov was previously ranked in the top 15, but after losing his last three fights, he has fallen out of the rankings and has landed on the chopping block. The 35-year-old Cirkunov started off his UFC career with a 4-0 record, but he has struggled since then and has just a 6-6 record now inside the Octagon.

It’s been difficult to watch Cirkunov struggle so badly in his last batch of fights, and at this point, it’s difficult to see the near-elite version of Cirkunov returning in the future. He still has submission skills, but with a declining chin and the overall fade of his skillset, it’s hard to envision Cirkunov beating too many other UFC light heavyweights, and that includes Menifield.

Menifield has the knockout power to finish Cirkunov, and I believe he does just that. Give me Menifield to win at -205 on betting sites and for a prop, you can take a look at Menifield winning by knockout.

Mana Martinez (-155) vs. Brandon Davis (+135)

On the preliminary card, Mana Martinez takes on Brandon Davis. Martinez is a -155 favorite, and I expect him to win the fight.

Just 26 years of age, Martinez is 1-1 so far in the UFC with a split decision win over Guido Cannetti and a decision loss to Ronnie Lawrence. Before coming to the UFC, Martinez was a knockout artist on the regional scene, which helped land him a deal in the UFC.

Against Lawrence, Martinez was taken down several times, which helped contribute to the loss. But against Davis, the threat of the takedown shouldn’t be so prevalent, which should allow Martinez the opportunity to stand and trade.

Davis is in his second stint with the UFC. Davis first competed back in 2018-2019, and he went just 2-5 in the promotion, albeit while fighting tough competition. After winning four fights on the regional scene, Davis was brought back to the UFC earlier last year as a short-notice replacement, but he ended up getting knocked out.

At age 32, it feels like Davis is a fighter who is too good for the regional circuit but just not good enough for the UFC. If he wants to keep his UFC contract, then he definitely has to beat Martinez as the underdog. It won’t be an easy fight for him, however, and he’ll have to make sure he doesn’t get knocked out.

Martinez has serious power and Davis is coming off a knockout loss. This looks like a tough matchup for Davis given the circumstances, so give me Martinez to win the fight as a -155 favorite. If you want to bet on a prop, then take Martinez by TKO.
