If you'd said two years ago that Sam Darnold would be playing in a Super Bowl, people would've been laughing so hard they'd be on the floor for days. At that point, Darnold was 21-35 in his career as a starting quarterback, had played for three teams and had thrown almost as many interceptions as touchdowns.

Everything changed last season, though, when the former Jet was signed by the Minnesota Vikings and delivered a stunning 14-3 record with over 4,300 yards and 35 TDs.
