Transfer deadline day is fast approaching and it will be interesting to see whether Brennan Johnson leaves Nottingham Forest by Friday 1st September. The 22-year-old came through the youth ranks at the Midlands club and has made 90 senior appearances for the Tricky Trees, scoring 26 goals.

However, the Welsh international is now a wanted man and there are several other Premier League clubs thought to be interested in signing him. Some of the leading football betting sites have priced up a Brennan Johnson Next Club betting market, with Tottenham and Chelsea reported to be two of the clubs most keen on his signature.

Will Tottenham Reinvest Kane Cash to Sign Johnson?

It’s little surprise that Tottenham Hotspur are rumoured to be interested in signing Brennan Johnson. Spurs have a big hole in attack now that Harry Kane has left for Bayern Munich and they also have plenty of funds to strengthen in that department considering that the German champions paid over £100 million for his services.

Spurs head the betting market on football betting apps to sign Johnson and plenty of media outlets are reporting that they are preparing a bid to sign the 22-year-old. It appears that Nottingham Forest value the forward somewhere in the region of £50 million and they will be keenly aware that Tottenham are cash-rich following the sale of Kane.

Johnson undoubtedly fits the profile of the sort of player that Ange Postecoglou wants to have at Tottenham, with the Australian manager looking to build a young team who can be competitive this season and then eventually blossom into an outfit that can challenge for a top-four spot or for the Premier League title.

Will Chelsea Splash More Cash to Land Forest Forward?

You might have thought that Chelsea’s summer of big spending has finished, but maybe not. The latest UK betting sites suggest that the London club might yet throw their hat into the ring for Brennan Johnson. Having spent £100 million on Moises Caicedo and a further £53 million on Romeo Lavia, could they splash the cash on another promising youngster?

Chelsea have spent over £1 billion on new players over the past twelve months and they have cleverly used amortisation to circumnavigate Financial Fair Play rules. Perhaps they see Johnson as someone who can bolster the attack, especially with Christian Nkunku suffering an untimely injury at the beginning of the season.

It wouldn’t come as a major surprise to see Tottenham outbid by Chelsea when it comes to a 22-year-old who shone brightly for Nottingham Forest last term and played a major part in keeping them afloat. The latest betting odds imply that the Blues could be able to capture him before the transfer window slams shut.

Will Johnson Sign For West Ham Before Window Shuts?

Brennan Johnson could well be heading to a London club according to the latest transfer betting odds. However, if a move to Tottenham or Chelsea doesn’t materialise, then perhaps the Welshman might attract the interest of West Ham instead. David Moyes will surely be interested in landing a player who has proven he can operate at Premier League level.

While Moyes is attempting to reinvent Jarrod Bowen as a centre forward, it could be that Johnson provides another attacking option and there are the funds received from Arsenal for Declan Rice which can be used to strengthen the squad.

In 2015, West Ham captured Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest and perhaps Johnson will make the switch eight years down the line. The odds suggest that there’s an outside chance of the deal happening, with the Hammers having recently captured James Ward-Prowse from Southampton.

Could a Move to Spain, Italy or Germany Be On Cards?

We’ve seen plenty of examples of talented British players moving abroad as part of their next career step and perhaps that could apply to Brennan Johnson. The Welshman might have attracted the interest of high-profile clubs on the continent, with Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham recent examples of players making the switch.

We’ve also seen the likes of Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham joining Roma although perhaps Johnson will remain in the United Kingdom for the time being. It might be too early in his career to up sticks and make the switch, especially considering the amount of domestic interest in this player.
