The Declan Rice transfer betting odds are chopping and changing on a regular basis. Arsenal have lodged two unsuccessful bids for the 24-year-old before West Ham rejected a £90 million offer from Manchester City, with the latter looking for a player to replace the departed Ilkay Gundogan.

It appears that we now have a straight shootout between the two English clubs for the signature of a player who could make all the difference in next season's title race. According to the market, Arsenal are back in pole position to secure the highly-prized midfielder, and the London club could land his signature if and when they lodge a third bid for a player who could turn them into Premier League champions.

It had been thought that Manchester City could leapfrog the Gunners and beat them to Rice, with West Ham valuing the player in the region of £100 million, although the odds suggest that Arsenal still have control of the situation, and this week could be decisive when it comes to securing his services.

It was reported last week that City were ready to outbid Arsenal in an attempt to land the highly-prized West Ham midfielder. The Gunners might yet pay the price for bidding too low for the 24-year-old, with their first offer of £60 million plus £15 million in add-ons regarded as derisory. They have since returned with an improved offer, but it's thought to be well short of what West Ham require. Conversely, City seem ready to stump up the cash and bolster the midfield department in the wake of Ilkay Gundogan's departure to Barcelona.

There is clearly a tussle taking place between the leading Premier League clubs when it comes to capturing Rice, with West Ham ready to receive more offers for a player who helped them win the Europa Conference League last term.

Until recently, the football betting odds suggested that Arsenal were set to capture the 24-year-old, but reports are now surfacing that Pep Guardiola's treble winners are tabling a bid, with Manchester United seemingly out of the running.

It’s not the first time that Rice’s future has been the subject of speculation. He has now become an England regular, and he's set to call time on his West Ham career after turning out more than 200 times for the Hammers and ensuring that the club have been successful in the Premier League.

There are several bookies offering betting odds on Declan Rice’s next club, and we have showcased the prices to see where his likeliest destinations this summer might be if he decides to leave West Ham.

Arsenal Not Certain to Land Rice

David Moyes has previously stated that Rice is worth more than £100m, and it might therefore mean that Arsenal make him a club-record signing in order to secure his services. The Gunners are an attractive option who can offer the England midfielder Champions League football next season, but two unsuccessful bids means the door could now be open for Manchester City to act.

The north London club were denied the chance to sign Mykhailo Mudryk after Chelsea swooped to land the Ukrainian, which means they are now looking for other big-money captures, and it's thought that Arsenal would be prepared to build a team around a potentially world-class midfielder. Having had an initial bid rejected, the Gunners returned with an improved £90 million offer for a player who could have a long-term future at the Emirates. However, that has now also been rejected, and the Gunners might now have missed the boat.

Arsenal fans are probably lamenting the fact that if Rice was in the centre of their midfield last season, it might have helped them secure the Premier League, but betting site odds suggest that there's a definite possibility that Arsenal could still capture him this summer.

Manchester City Could Beat Arsenal to Rice Deal

Arsenal have not been able to come up with a satisfactory offer for Declan Rice, so perhaps Manchester City will be able to usurp them at the last minute. Bookies originally thought that Pep Guardiola wouldn't be aiming to sign the midfielder, but the English champions have now had a £90 million offer rejected by West Ham, and they could return with an improved offer.

It's easy to see why City would want the player in their ranks, with Ilkay Gundogan leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer for Barcelona and Kalvin Phillips so far having failed to make an impact at the Treble winners. Rice would surely fit into the Cityzen's style of play and help them continue their dominance domestically.

The player might jump at the chance to sign for City, even if it means relocating to Manchester. Having won the Europa Conference League with West Ham last season, he will have a taste for silverware, and there would surely be plenty of trophies won in the sky blue colours.

Manchester United Lodge Interest in Rice

Like Chelsea, Manchester United have been linked with Rice on several occasions. In the summer of 2021, the Red Devils brought in Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, although there was speculation that they would also boost the midfield department with Declan Rice.

The Premier League side then acquired Casemiro and Christian Eriksen last summer, but they might still be interested in securing the England midfielder considering he has a lot of mileage left in the tank at the age of 24.

Money would surely be no object to a club also in the running to sign Harry Kane at the end of the 2022/23 season, and it would be a massive statement if United's new owners made money available to complete a double signing ahead of a Champions League assault.

Liverpool Also Among Favourites to Sign Rice

The Liverpool squad is likely to be rejigged this summer, and their failings last season often boiled down to a lack of steel in the midfield department. This has left the back four exposed on numerous occasions, and a player like Declan Rice would instantly boost this problem area due to his prowess in front of two centre backs.

Jurgen Klopp would love to acquire a player who would represent an upgrade on Fabinho and is also much younger than Jordan Henderson. With Harvey Elliott not quite the finished article and Thiago injury-prone, it would make sense for Liverpool to pursue a player such as Rice.

The Anfield outfit recently admitted defeat in their pursuit of Jude Bellingham, and perhaps the West Ham midfielder is now top of the hit list. While they can't offer him Champions League football next term, the chance to operate at one of the biggest English clubs could still be a draw.

Could Chelsea Lure Former Trainee Back to Bridge?

Chelsea are also among the favourites with the best betting apps to sign Rice, who spent eight years on the Stamford Bridge club’s books as a youngster. The Blues let him go at the age of 14, but they may now be willing to spend big money to bring Rice back to west London.

Rice was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge during Frank Lampard’s first spell as Blues manager. The former Everton boss reportedly planned to deploy him at centre-back, but there is no longer any debate about Rice’s best position thanks to his exploits in defensive midfield for club and country over the last couple of seasons.

Rice may feel he has unfinished business with the Blues, as new manager Mauricio Pochettino is currently busy trying to reshape his existing squad. It might be that Chelsea are restricted by Financial Fair Play rules when it comes to making this sort of purchase considering West Ham are looking for a fee in the region of £100 million.

One More Season At West Ham?

It is not beyond the realms of possibility that Declan Rice is still a West Ham player next season. He is under contract with his current employers until 2024, and the club has the option to extend his deal for another 12 months. However, it comes down to whether the London outfit would value his services for another year or generate a heap of cash that could be used to invest in new players.

The best bookies certainly aren't ruling out the possibility that Rice captains the Hammers for another season. According to bet365, there is an outside chance of Rice staying with his current club compared to signing for a new team. It remains to be seen whether he can be persuaded to continue with a club close to his heart.
