Can Tottenham Hotspur keep hold of Harry Kane for the 2023/24 season? It's now looking likely after the London club rejected Bayern Munich's latest offer for the player. The German club lodged an £86 million offer for Kane and this latest rejection means Bayern must decide to improve their terms or walk away from the deal, with football betting sites believing he will stay at Spurs.

The forward has just turned 30 and remains on the books at the London club, with supporters watching him score four goals against Shakhtar Donetsk in a recent pre-season friendly. Kane was wearing the captain's armband on Sunday when basking in the adulation of supporters, with Bayern Munich having lodged a third and final bid for the player on Friday, although the odds suggest that it could be a close run thing.

The Harry Kane transfer saga has been the football story of the summer and it's appeared at different times that Bayern Munich could be close to landing his signature. Club representatives have recently flown into London to hold talks with chief executive Daniel Levy, although the two clubs appear to be £25 million apart based on recent reports.

It has been reported that Kane might actually buy himself free of his Tottenham contract, with Bayern having submitted a third offer worth a total of €95million (£81.6million) and the forward reportedly prepared to sacrifice a large chunk of his salary in order to make the move happen.

Paris Saint-Germain have drifted on this market with football betting sites. The French champions appeared to be in the running to capture the forward, and this was driven by the possibility of Kylian Mbappe leaving the French capital this summer and signing for Real Madrid.

As for Manchester United, they have now signed Rasmus Hojlund to be their new starting striker. Previously to this, new Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou admitted in a recent press conference that he has been given no assurances regarding Kane, and the latest odds from the betting sites imply that Spurs might not be facing a losing battle to keep their prize asset.

Nevertheless, Bayern Munich have had three offers rejected by Tottenham as things stand. The German champions made improved offers for the forward, and it appears that Thomas Tuchel has had a recent conversation with Kane regarding the possibility of signing for the Bavarian outfit.

Bayern Munich Have Three Offers for England Captain Rejected

Bayern Munich have so far been thwarted in their attempts to sign Harry Kane and it's now down to whether they will increase their offer for the star striker. Having fallen short with an offer of £86 million, perhaps the Bavarian side will call time on their pursuit of someone with less than a year left on his contract at Spurs.

It would be strange to see Harry Kane leaving the Premier League, a division with which he has become synonymous while scoring goals for Tottenham. Kane is currently second in the league's all-time goalscoring chart, 47 goals behind Alan Shearer.

However, the latest odds suggest it's now 50-50 between whether he will sign for Bayern Munich or remain with Spurs. It's thought the striker is open to a fresh challenge in Germany, and perhaps Tottenham will struggle to turn down big money for a player with one year left on his contract.

If Kane does leverage a move away from Tottenham this summer, it now appears that he is going to join one of the Champions League favourites. Daniel Levy might be steadfast in his refusal to sell the forward to a Premier League rival, but Bayern Munich have long admired the 29-year-old, and this could be an interesting career move for the England skipper, where Champions League football will be available.

Bayern are favourites to win another German Bundesliga title next season, with Thomas Tuchel having replaced Julian Nagelsmann for the final third of last season, and the former will know all about Harry Kane considering that he was in charge of Chelsea in the Premier League. Kane would be regarded as a perfect replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

The Pole left the Allianz Arena in the summer of 2022, and Bayern haven't really replaced him, with Sadio Mane an altogether different type of forward. Perhaps the former Liverpool man can provide the perfect link-up with Kane for a German side who are among the market leaders to win next season's Champions League with most betting apps.

Can Tottenham Block Any Advance for Harry Kane?

Daniel Levy has been here before. The Tottenham chairman was able to prevent Harry Kane leaving the Premier League club two years ago, and perhaps he can stand in the way of the forward heading to pastures new again. Spurs have now rejected three offers from Bayern Munich, the latest of these being an £86 million offer.

There has been plenty of speculation in the past surrounding the striker's possible move to Real Madrid or Manchester United, but the odds with most betting apps suggest he could end up staying. Indeed, you can now get shorter odds that Kane sees out the final year of his contract in north London than signing with those two teams, even if Bayern Munich remain favourites.

In the past couple of weeks, the odds on the striker actually remaining at Tottenham have shortened again after previously widening, with Levy reported to have slapped a £100 million price tag on the player's head.

There has been no word from the player on this occasion, with Kane having previously publicly positioned himself for a move away from Tottenham a couple of years ago when Manchester City looked set to sign him, and it will be interesting to see how negotiations play out for the north London club's prize asset.

Could PSG Replace Messi With Kane?

While Paris Saint-Germain currently have Kylian Mbappe and Neymar on their books, Lionel Messi left earlier this summer to join Inter Miami in the MLS, and that could see PSG make a marquee signing to replace the multiple Ballon d'Or winner. There's also talk that Mbappe could join Real Madrid this summer too.

Harry Kane would certainly offer the French champions something different, with the forward having demonstrated immense scoring prowess for club and country. The 29-year-old has scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for Tottenham, and 56 goals in 83 England appearances is also an outstanding achievement.

PSG are renowned for being able to pay a king's ransom for players and can also afford to pay big wages, with this being another overseas option that could be on the table if Kane's desire to join another English club is thwarted.

Real Madrid Now in Hot Pursuit of Kane This Summer

Karim Benzema left Real Madrid after 14 successful years at the Spanish giants, with this news prompting bookies to shorten Harry Kane's odds when it comes to a move to the Bernabeu. The Frenchman's departure to Saudi Arabia, leaves a big hole in the Real attack, and it's one that can potentially be filled by one of the best forwards in the world.

The latest betting odds suggest that Real are among the most likeliest club to prise Kane away from Tottenham. Perhaps chairman Daniel Levy will be more open to the prospect of the player joining a Spanish club rather than a fellow Premier League outfit where he would operate in direct competition against Tottenham.

The bookies certainly think this move is a possibility, and Real have previously captured players such as Eden Hazard, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale from Premier League clubs. Indeed, the latter came from Tottenham and perhaps we'll see another big-money transfer between the same clubs.

Big-Spending Chelsea Badly in Need of Centre Forward

Chelsea managed to spend £600 million last season and still struggled to score goals. They failed to hit the net during 180 minutes of Champions League football against Real Madrid despite creating several good chances, and it's clear that the squad needs to be reshaped in the summer under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, despite a stream of new faces in the past 12 months.

Perhaps Harry Kane can be persuaded to remain in London and make a controversial move to Stamford Bridge. It's a tall order to see this one happening for two reasons. One, Daniel Levy would surely obstruct any move for the striker when it comes to a Premier League rival such as Chelsea, while the latter are not going to be in Europe next season, which means another year of Kane's career without playing in the Champions League.
