In what looks set to be one of the more open World Cup groups, at least based on the odds at World Cup betting sites, co-hosts Canada will be battling it out with Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Qatar.
The Canada squad is likely to be full of players who ply their trade across major European leagues. Record goalscorer Jonathan David and Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies will be carrying a lot of Canadian hopes on his shoulders. With names like Tajon Buchanan and Ismael Kone also used to playing at the top level, there’ll plenty of pedigree in the Canada squad.
You could almost set your watch by Switzerland at the World Cup. They’ve made it through the group stage and been eliminated in the round of 16 in each of the last three editions. They’re the highest-ranked team in Group B in the world rankings and look set to at least match their performances in recent World Cups.

Making just their second appearance at the World Cup, Bosnia & Herzegovina will be hoping to add to their tally of one win in the competition. That win came over Iran in 2014, but it wasn’t enough to get out of their group. All eyes will be on Edin Dzeko, who’ll be aiming to become just the second outfield player in his 40s to appear at the World Cup.
Hosts of the 2022 World Cup, Qatar will be hoping for a better outcome this time round. Three games, three defeats and just one goal scored brought their World Cup debut to a premature end. The opposition in Group B isn’t as tough as it could have been, but they’re likely to come up short. Anything other that three defeats would be a minor shock at top betting sites.

Odds to Win Group B
The latest World Cup odds from top betting apps show that Switzerland are favourites to win Group B, but there’s not a massive amount separating them from Canada and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Odds to Qualify From Group B
It’s very possible that one win and a decent goal difference could see you through to the knockout rounds. With Qatar in the group, the three other sides look to have a solid chance at qualifying.

Group B Betting Tips
There isn’t much to choose between Canada, Switzerland and Bosnia & Herzegovina in group B. One thing that does look certain in the group, though, is that Qatar are booked for last place. You can back Qatar to finish bottom of Group B at 4/7 with Spreadex. It’s not the most appealing price we’ll see at football betting sites, but it looks like nice addition to any World Cup accumulators punters choose to do.
