Getafe v Villarreal: Getafe to win 2-0 7/1 888Sport
Sevilla v Athletic Club: Sevilla to win 2-1 8/1 MansionBet

The final weekend of La Liga action is upon us, with Champions League and Europa League places still up for grabs.

Girona have the faintest hope of survival but would need to win away at Alaves by six clear goals and then hope that Celta Vigo lose at home to Rayo Vallecano.

Football has shown us that nothing is ever impossible, but it would take a highly unlikely sequence of events for the Catalans to preserve their two-season stay in the top flight.

As with tiny Huesca, Girona have been a credit to La Liga and both minnows will be doing their upmost to make a swift return.

Real Madrid host Real Betis looking for a win to ensure that they don’t finish any more than the current, record-breaking, 18 points that they are behind leaders Barcelona.

Runners-up Atletico travel to Levante, whilst the Blaugrana head to Ipurua and to face an Eibar side whom they’ve never lost to.

With the Copa Del Rey final still to come, Ernesto Valverde might take another opportunity to rest his usual XI and give some long-overdue game time to some of the next crop of La Masia graduates that are making waves at the club.

Aside from Girona’s fixture, all of the other matches have little riding on them. There are three fixtures on the calendar where it’s still all to play for, however.

Getafe v Villarreal Tips

Jose Bordalas’ side are still in with a chance of a debut Champions League campaign next season, if they can better Valencia’s result at Valladolid.

The southern Madrid outfit will be buoyed by the fact that their visitors have only won on two visits to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez in the last decade.

Further, with little to play for, the Yellow Submarine could be there for the taking as focus inevitably shifts to summer holidays.

Villarreal have actually scored one more goal than their hosts this season, despite being separated by nine places in the division, and could make life difficult for the hosts.

With one team not scoring in this fixture on four of the last five occasions, however, a 2-0 win for the hosts at 7/1 with 888Sport is good value.

TIP: Getafe to win 2-0 (7/1 with 888Sport)

Valladolid v Valencia Tips

After results last weekend, Valencia find themselves in the box seat for a fourth-place finish and a shot at Champions League football in 2019/20.

Marcelino’s side need to go for the win, but with the knowledge that they’ve a Copa Del Rey final just a week later for which they’ll need their strongest XI available.

Four losses in their last six games isn’t the best form to be heading into this match either.

Valladolid have already secured their top flight status for another season and with a packed Jose Zorilla Stadium roaring them on, La Pucela, with only one loss themselves in their last six, could put a real spoke in Los Che’s ambitions.

Though Valladolid haven’t won this fixture for 10 years, Valencia haven’t won in Valladolid for the same amount of time.

It’s a game that traditionally isn’t high scoring, with four of the last five having ended in draws.

Another score draw is at a tempting 9/2.

TIP: Score Draw

Sevilla v Athletic Club Tips

If neither Valencia or Getafe win, then Sevilla can grab a fourth place which seemed theirs for the taking just a few short weeks ago.

One win in their last five, and three of those games without scoring, doesn’t inspire confidence, but they do have home advantage which, in this fixture has proved crucial.

The Andalusians haven’t won in the league in Bilbao for 10 seasons, whilst the Basques have won just once at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the last 14 years - and that was way back in 2011.

In terms of strike force, both have pace in abundance.

Inaki Williams will be looking to sign off the season in style for Athletic, whilst Wissam Ben Yedder can add to his double figure haul if given the right service

It’s in behind the full-backs where both are brittle, so we can expect lots of raiding down the channels.

Sevilla’s more urgent need for the result should just carry them over the line here. A 2-1 home win is at 8/1.

TIP: Sevilla to win 2-1
