A small field for this, but no shortage of ability and potential on show. There’s no value in backing Seeyouinmydreams at the likely odds, considering it’s her first time over fences, while Doyen Quest has a lot of weight to carry over a trip that may prove too sharp. Preference is for Breaking Cover. He’s two pounds out of the handicap, but has a progressive profile and was a comfortable winner of a handicap chase last time out.

Tip 2 - 3:12 Brighton - Shetakesthegold
Shetakesthegold has enjoyed a solid maiden season with a win and two seconds across six runs on turf so far, and has never finished outside the top three over today’s distance of 6f. The two-year-old ran an impressive race at 5-and-a-half furlongs on this course two weeks ago, only finished behind the Evens favourite, and the extra yards today could be crucial.

Tip 3 - 4:12 Brighton - Tenbob Tony
This looks like it could be the day Tenbob Tony finally gets off the mark. After running well but not getting the job done at the business end of his races, a drop in trip and cheekpieces are added to try and get him over the line. He will have to run well to overcome the favourite, but as he is carrying a penalty for his recent success, Tenbob Tony does have a chance to overhaul him.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?
We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.
What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
