Tip 1 - 2:43 Windsor - Percy's Star
A solid effort over course and distance last time out marked Percy's Star up as one to keep an eye on. Tip 2 - 2:48 Cartmel - Our Laura B
Two years removed from her most recent win, Our Laura B looks handicapped to run well. That win came off a mark of 101 on decent ground over slightly shorter. Tip 3 - 3:40 Leicester - Fenlander
Fenlander remains winless after 16 career runs, but had put together a string of solid runs over this trip before a disappointing effort over further last time. His two previous efforts over six furlongs on quick ground resulted in third-place finishes and his run last time wasn't as bad as the result suggests. Racing prominently, he was still in contention until a furlong out. He clearly didn't stay and looks sure to appreciate this drop in drop and leniency from the handicapper.

Tip 4 - 4:07 Redcar - Flying Frontier
Flying Frontier may be a six-year-old, but there should still be plenty of tread left on the tyres. A dismal effort on seasonal reappearance has left his handicap rating a pound below his last winning mark. That win came under similar conditions to what he'll face today - 10 furlongs, quick ground on his second run of the season. He also found himself in the winners enclosure second time out in 2023, so this may be the time to catch him. With a course and distance win to his name too, there are plenty of reasons to think he might outrun his odds.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
