Tip 1 - 1:13 Sandown - Made U Blush
Made U Blush showed tremendous progress last time out to win on his Listed debut with a comfortable 2m win at Musselburgh in January, despite going off at 11/2. Today’s race looks a bit more difficult but he only goes up 2lbs from that victory earlier this year and appears to be a nice price considering how much he’s already shown over hurdles in just three runs.

Tip 2 - 2:20 Sandown - Doyen Quest
Favourite, Blow Your Wad, looks like he’s handicapped to the max, and it could be that Doyen Quest is nicely handicapped at a time of year he seems to thrive at. Five career races in April and May have brought about three wins, and he wasn’t disgraced when fourth at Aintree in the Grade 1 Novices’ Chase. Dropped a pound for that into a Grade 2, the same level he finished decent seconds to Salver twice in December and January. Down a pound on good ground he loves, and he should be bang there.

Tip 3 - 2:55 Sandown - Solness
This should suit Solness perfectly after probably just running out of steam over slightly further at Aintree. He can go from the front and can put his rivals jumping to the test over the quick fire fences Sandown is famous for. It’s going to take a huge effort for the ten year old Jonbon to keep going this far into the season, with the others probably not quite full grade one level.

Tip 4 - 3:30 Sandown - Havaila
Havaila has long been a consistent sort, failing to finish in the first three just once in his last 10 starts. The penny seems to have dropped for him lately though, as his last two runs have resulted in commanding wins. Most recently, he encountered good ground and a marathon trip for the first time and delivered a career best. There should be more to come from him and with similar conditions here at Sandown, a huge run is on the cards.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
