Tip 1 - 2:12 Nottingham - Brinton

Brinton usually runs on all-weather and has picked up two wins in 10 outings this year, and the switch to turf last month was seamless with a 1m win at Brighton. A trickier run last time out saw her finish fifth of 11, but that was at a career-high mark and further progress is likely today off the same rating with a new jockey aboard.

Tip 2 - 3:00 Newmarket - Spring Bloom

Despite the name, this is Spring Bloom’s time of year, with all six of his career wins coming between May and August. The most recent of those wins came over course and distance off a mark one pound higher than his current one. He ran with credit last time out over five furlongs, getting outpaced before running on late to finish a close fourth. He may be nearly triple the age of most of today’s rivals, but he’s in form and conditions look ideal for a big run.

Tip 3 - 3:10 Newcastle - Penzance

Ashariba looks a danger on second race after seasonal reappearance, but we side with all-weather specialist, Penzance. All five career wins have come on the all-weather, and the five-year-old has a course-and-distance win and a second from four races. He’s back to his last winning mark of 93 in March, and his previous winning mark prior to that was 92, so this could be the sweet spot for the five-year-old.

Tip 4 - 3:35 Newmarket - Amberia

Not much was expected from Amberia, a cheap purchase who was sent off at 12/1 on debut, but she looks like she has the potential to be a bit special. The win was never in doubt, making all and powering away to win by six lengths. She showed early speed to get to the front in that race, so should have no problem coping with a drop in trip today. This will only be her second run, so if she takes a step forward from that performance she will be very tough to beat.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
