Hitched looks to be rounding back into form after four races to dust away the cobwebs. Looked an unlucky second at Wolverhampton in November and ran well again to finish third there last time. Comes back to a happy hunting ground in Lingfield, where his course-and-distance record reads 121. Just one pound higher than for the last triumph here and also finished second by a neck from a pound higher than today.

A course and distance winner just two weeks ago and runner up a month before that, Zacony Rebel lines up again looking to continue a solid winter that’s seen him go 321 since mid-October. Benefit Ben was having just his third run over fences when winning over three furlongs further here at Mullselburgh a couple of weeks ago. He looked to have the race put to bed but saw his lead dwindle late on, suggesting that this drop back in trip will be ideal. What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
