Tip 2 - 1:50 Newbury - Wendigo

Beaten by a head on chase debut by a horse that then went and handily won a Listed chase next time out. That suggests there is more to come from Jame Snowden’s six-year-old. He was second to The New Lion in a Grade 1 last December, with the winner then going on to win the Turners at the Cheltenham Festival next time out. Clearly has plenty of ability and beat the current favourite by nearly three lengths in said Grade 1 last year. Could get nose in front of all of them here.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
