Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 1:20 Cheltenham - Hello Neighbour

Hello Neighbour looks like a horse who keeps a fail bit to himself when he runs, just doing enough to win in both his starts over hurdles. With all the focus on the two UK horses, the one with the pick of the Irish form sits at a very backable price, and the fact he doesn’t have flashy performances to his name means he could sneak into a winning position under the radar.

Tip 2 - 2:00 Cheltenham - Valgrand

Last two runs have been very poor for Valgrand, but given the shrewd trainer Dan Skelton likely always had an eye on the Festival in mind, I wouldn’t be paying that too much mind. Prior to that won a Grade 2 here and a good looking second to Potters Charm over a much longer distance. Comes into this nicely handicapped and should go well for the Skeltons.

Tip 3 - 3:20 Cheltenham – Derryhassen Paddy

Derryhassen Paddy is lightly raced but you can’t argue with the results. Victory over this distance at Windsor last time out made it four from four in his career and the two most recent wins have both been over hurdles, making him a major contender at Cheltenham today. Lucinda Russell trained Brindisi Breeze to victory in this race in 2012 so she knows what it takes to win.

Tip 4 - 4:00 Cheltenham - Inothawayurthinkin

It will take an almighty effort from something to take Galopin Des Champs’ crown. Inothewayurthinkin won the Kim Muir at last year’s Cheltenham Festival in impressive fashion, and could surprise a few people here. He was supplemented for this at a late stage at a pretty big cost, and connections won’t have done that if a big run wasn’t expected. This is a big step up on the Kim Muir, but Inothewayurthinkin has the potential to claim this en route to the Grand National next month.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
