Our Horse Racing Tips Staking Plan

Each selection we advised is a bet of £10 win single per horse. This is unless it is otherwise stated that is should be a £5 each way bet.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success, and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose. Check out their best bets for today below.

Horse Racing Betting Tips

Tip 1 - 2:50 Stratford - Wind Your Neck In

Wind Your Neck In hasn’t been seen since April but enjoyed a very respectable start to 2026 with form of 4472215 over hurdles. The win and two seconds came at just a furlong more than today’s distance and even fifth on his latest effort – a grade higher than today - wasn’t really a fair assessment of how he looked. He’s rated 97 today, the highest for almost a year, but Rebecca Hitchin takes off 7lbs, and that could be crucial.

Tip 2 - 3:20 Stratford - The Big Ticket

Some interesting contenders in this race, and the one we like at a slightly bigger price is chase debutant, Big Ticket. Was a big Irish Point winner on debut and has competed fairly well over hurdles. Won on heavy ground over today’s distance in February before tailing off over further in last two starts of last season. Goes well fresh and should take to today’s conditions nicely.

Tip 3 - 4:30 Ffos Las - Leader In The Park

Leader In The Park hasn’t been seen since pulling up in the Ladbrokes Trophy in February. Prior to that, he had placed in a pair of decent handicap chases. One of those efforts came on his seasonal debut, so running well fresh is something he has in the locker. His yard not having a winner from its last 22 runners isn’t ideal, but they have had plenty run well in defeat. Dropping in class and down a couple of pounds, he looks like a solid contender.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch. We've also got a page specifically dedicated to Cheltenham Festival live streaming.
