Tip 1 - 1:30 Chester - King’s School
It’s always an advantage to be drawn low at Chester, and King’s School could make the most of being in trap four as the three on his inside don’t look up to much. He won well last time out and has the second from that day Lord Capulet re-opposing him. With no claimers riding this time, King’s School only has to give 1lb more away despite getting 5lb for that win. He should be able to confirm placings, especially with the draw in his favour.

Tip 2 - 1:38 Sandown - Over Spiced
It’s been an up-and-down year for Over Spiced, with form of 521554, but the reality is that he wasn’t far away in most of those results, losing by only 1.5 lengths in his first run of the year and only by a length in the most recent despite finishing fourth. Tip 3 - 2:02 Chester - Metamouse
Was given very little chance on debut but managed to outrun his odds of 33/1 with an encouraging fourth. Looked like he did too much work early on as he faded away in the final furlong. However, he is well worth another go at the distance, and the plumb draw on the inside at Chester is an obvious advantage, even if this is a step up in class for the colt.

Tip 4 - 2:25 York - Tamam Star
The standard set by the recent winners in this race isn’t exactly a daunting one, with those wins coming in sellers for Everatease, Undercover Affair and Furturra. Tamam Star retains plenty of potential, having had just the three starts. Sent off at odds-on for his second run after a solid debut, he’s failed to match expectations. What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
