Tip 1 - 1:30 Epsom - Naana’s Shadow
The name of the race gives this one away, you can’t win this without speed. They will go hard from the start and anything out the back isn’t going to get time to catch up on the downhill run. Naana’s Shadow has been going from the front to good effect since switching yards and she just didn’t quite have anything left at the finish last time out. She should find the finish easier here running down hill and will be tough to catch from the front.

Tip 2 - 2:40 Epsom - Seagulls Eleven
It tends to be all or nothing for Seagulls Eleven, who has three wins and four seconds from 14 races, with all but one of the others finishing way off the top three. Auld Toon Loon has two things in his favour that may give him the edge today. One is an ability to handle any kind of ground, having won on both good-to-firm and heavy. The other is an appreciation for unconventional tracks, with wins at Chester, Bath and Lingfield to his name. Two runs this season should have him spot on. A wide draw at Chester on seasonal debut and failing to get a gap at a crucial point last time out won’t have helped. He arrives on a workable mark with plenty in his favour.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
