Tip 1 - 2:07 Lingfield - Buy The Dip
Buy The Dip definitely had a bit in hand when winner here in April, so much so connections pitched him in a much higher level next time out. He couldn’t go the pace there so dropping him back to a class 6 seems like the right move. This would be a career high mark to win from, but he has put in some good efforts off higher in the past so if things fall the right way he should be bang there.

Tip 2 - 2:42 Lingfield - Southbank
Southbank put in a great effort last time he was on the all-weather considering he didn’t run as professionally as normal. He clearly didn’t enjoy grass the next time out so we are back on the polytrack today, and tackling his best trip of six furlongs again. Connections look to have found a weak race here, so simply running to form could be enough.

Tip 3 - 2:50 Newbury - River King
Plenty was thought about River King on his first appearance for 339 days to go off at 8/13 when finishing second by a neck 10 days ago. Up three pounds, which is unideal, but he should also be in much better shape for his second run of the year. Has shaped as if a rating of 87 is eminently winnable from before but question mark as to whether the switch back to a flat mile is the correct trip.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
