Tip 1 - 1:35 Chester - Station X
Last two efforts haven’t really amounted to much for Station X, but they were both at the minimum distance, when six furlongs is clearly more to his liking. Indeed, all three career wins have come from that distance, so the drop to that and an inside draw at Chester makes him an obvious pick. Acts on any ground and should be really competitive from a mark of 84.

Tip 2 - 1:50 York - Humble Spark
The fact that Humble Spark hasn’t won any race for over a year and hasn’t won on turf for almost two is incredible in of itself considering how close he’s gone. Indeed, the six-year-old has finished second in four of his last seven races on turf and had a couple of fourths earlier this year where he lost by only three lengths. Another win is coming eventually and his experience over this distance could show.

Tip 3 - 3:17 Sandown - Raammee
A couple in here who look like they could be going places in their four-year-old season. Raammee started late as a three-year-old and was determined to make up for lost time, winning his first two starts, including the second one by 12 lengths. Returned from 262 days off the track on turf for the first time as 11/8 favourite and didn’t do much. But that market confidence coupled with having dusted off the cobwebs means he should come on much stronger second time around and could go on the up and up from here.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
