Junior Again’s yard is in good form, and we should expect plenty of success from Baaeed’s progeny, so why not today.

Tip 2 - 2:48 Epsom - Minister Boy

Having started his career with a pair of promising efforts, Minster Boy is a very interesting runner. Inexperience cost him on debut, while a luckless run possibly cost him a win on his second start. His latest run in the Super Sprint at Newbury can be ignored as his sights were likely just set too high. Having now been gelded, he’s likely to be much more professional and could deliver on his early promise.

Tip 3 - 3:00 Newbury - Raintown

Raintown recorded his first win of 2026 with a course and distance victory three weeks ago, capping off a run that saw him finish second and then a narrow third in consecutive on this course. He goes up 3lbs for today after that win last time out, although jockey Kyle McHugh claims it back anyway and that should help him take the fight to the odds-on favourite.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
