Tip 1 - 2:30 Hexham - Powerofjet
Powerofjet has found some excellent form recently after a fairly inauspicious career, going 31433 this season following the switch the chasing including a very positive third in a Class 2 at Carlisle last time out. That represented a marked step up in grade from his usual Class 5 and today is a Class 4, so if he can bring that same sort of form to proceedings today then he will take some stopping.

Tip 2 - 3:10 Fakenham - Moviddy
Will need to defy top weight, but there is reason to believe that Moviddy should win here, despite one career win in chases. That win came in March last year from a mark nine pounds higher than today’s 97. Drops into a Class 5 for the first time in her career. If running anywhere near the level of her third here in a Class 2 in January, she should be there or thereabouts. Not finished outside the top three from four attempts at this track.

Tip 3 - 3:40 Fakenham - Silver Gale
After being beaten out of sight in her first three starts over hurdles, Silver Gale showed massive improvement for the step up to this sort of trip and switch to handicapping last time out, finishing a close third at Warwick. The improvement clearly didn’t come out of the blue, as she was sent off at 3/1 having been no shorter than 150/1 for her three previous starts. The youngest and least exposed of these could have more improvement to come.

Tip 4 - 4:00 Hexham - Party In The Park
Party In The Park didn’t enjoy his first try in handicap company, spending his time at the rear of the bunch and not having the pace to go with them. Dropped back in grade and pushed up in trip he should enjoy himself a bit more today. There will be a lot expected from this reasonably expensive well bred purchase, so there is no surprise connections are trying something a bit different to get him off the mark.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
