The form of Cool Azul’s course and distance maiden win from July has been well advertised, with the third and fourth winning since. He’s raced only once since them, stepping up in trip at Roscommon last week. He pulled hard that day and didn’t see his race out, though still managed to finish second. That suggests there could be some mileage in his mark, and with the drop in trip sure to suit, he’ll take a lot of beating.

Although Tango Hotel only has one race at this distance under her belt, finishing second at Hamilton last month behind the Evens favourite, her sole career victory in five tries came right here at Ffos Las and on soft ground. She is the only one in this race to have won on such going and those around her in the betting have never even run on softer ground, so if it does indeed rain in the morning, as it is supposed to, then her experience could tell.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
