PGA Championship Betting Tip – Xander Schauffele top-five finish

Outside of Scottie Scheffler, who has been on a prime Tiger Woods-esque run this season, Xander Schauffele has been the most consistent player on the PGA Tour In 2024. In 11 tournaments this year, he has finished inside the top 10 eight times, with five of those being top-five finishes. He was well in contention for his first win of the season last weekend, as he led after the third round, but shooting even par on the final day wasn't enough as McIlroy stormed to victory by five shots. Bank on Xander’s consistency this week.

Bet on Xander Schauffele to finish in the top five at 3/1 with BetUK.

PGA Championship Betting Tip – Phil Mickelson to finish top 30

Phil Mickelson certainly hasn’t been pulling up any trees this season in LIV, but he has had a couple of decent results, with a top-10 finish in Jeddah and a 22nd finish in Singapore last time out. He’s returning to a course he’s played well at before with second place and tied ninth finishes in the two times the PGA has been hosted by Valhalla Golf Club in the 21st century. Mickelson was able to make the cut at Augusta in April after having finished second last and seventh-last in his two prior tournaments. Things will have to go right for Lefty, but a price of 5/1 is too good to ignore.

Bet on Phil Mickelson to finish in the top 30 at 5/1 with BetMGM.

PGA Championship Betting Tip – Rory McIlroy to win

We’re acutely aware that major championship Rory McIlroy hasn’t always been the same as PGA Tour Rory McIlroy since he won the last of his four golf majors at this very golf course in this very tournament 10 years ago. However, given his history at the course, and the brilliance with which he lapped the field in the fourth round at Quail Hollow last weekend makes us think this could be the time he gets back to winning ways in a major championship.

Bet on Rory McIlroy to win the PGA Championship at 7/1 with Betfred.
