Betting Tip: Andy Murray to win 3-2 @ 5/1 with bet365
In 2010, 2011 and 2013, Andy Murray reached the Australian Open final only to lose to Roger Federer and then Novak Djokovic on two occasions.
However, there is no doubting Murray’s credentials when it comes to this Grand Slam and the Brit is ready to overcome Tomas Berdych on Thursday and hope to make it fourth time lucky against either Novak Djokovic.
Murray effectively dismantled the dangerous Nick Kyrgios in their last eight clash, withstanding some inspirational shots from the Australian in the second set to run out a 3-0 winner although the semi against Berdych will be even tougher.
The Czech was the outsider to beat Rafael Nadal in his quarter final match only to produce one of his best ever career performances to beat the Spaniard, dropping just two games in the first two sets.
It was inspirational stuff from a player whose only Grand Slam final appearance was Wimbledon in 2010, although the Bird Man was in the semis of the Australian Open twelve months ago and appears to be in the form of his life.
Dani Vallverdu is now coaching Berdych having previously been in the Murray camp.
“It’s not going to be normal but I don’t think it’s going to be strange,” Vallverdu added. “Maybe the first couple of games it will be a bit weird but it will be fine. It’s just a tennis match at the end of the day.
“I’ve been with Andy for the last five years and now I am with Tomas. We have a great game plan but at the end of the day he just has to worry about what’s happening on his side of the court.
“They both know each other pretty well, have played each other 10 times already and been at the top of the game for 10 years. It’s not rocket science, they know each other very well and it’s just about Tomas executing the game plan like he has done in the last few matches”
We’re expecting a couple of tie-breaks considering that Berdych has not lost a game on serve throughout the whole tournament, although Murray is prepared to go all the way in this game.
Bet365 offer 5/1 about a Murray 3-2 and are also live streaming this match for new and existing customers.
