Everton v Manchester City betting guide – City can pile more misery on the Toffees

The Toffees' woes will continue this weekend

city11

Roberto Martinez is a worried man and the pressure will be further piled upon him when Manchester City travel to Merseyside on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester City have closed the gap on Premier League title favourites Chelsea and sit level on both points and goal difference with the west London side. A win against a floundering Everton side could lift them to the top of the table this weekend.

The Blues have  slipped up of late and City have taken full advantage of this with only alphabetical order keeping the top two sides apart. Indeed, Pellegrini’s side could overtake Chelsea should they better their opponents’ performance   at Goodison Park on Saturday and they are clearly capable of doing just that.

The Toffees fans were full of hope at the beginning of the season, however any optimism soon evaporated and the side sit firmly in the bottom half of the table a mere four points above the drop zone following some poor performances. The Toffees have suffered defeat in their last four Premier League outings and we certainly won’t be backing the Merseyside club to take anything from this match.

With Pellegrini’s side boasting an excellent away record, we feel that there is value in backing them to win at odds of 10/11 with Paddy Power.

The Goodison Park faithful may get to cheer a goal however, the home side no slouches in attack. City are enjoying a thirteen match winning run, however they have conceded against Burnley, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom so we believe that Everton will likely get on the goal sheet, a City win with both teams scoring up for grabs at 12/5 at William Hill.

We’ll be keeping things simple and backing Man City to clinch full points at Goodison. The hosts are in dreadful form at present and the visitors will clinch their fifth successive win on the road.
