Sports bettors in the Philadelphia area have a lot to look forward to this week. On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the Wells Fargo Center will debut two sportsbook lounges: The BetRivers.com Sports Lounge and the Rivers Casino Philadelphia Sports Lounge. They are debuting at the home opener for the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers, at 7:30 p.m. ET Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils.

"We are thrilled to launch our partnership with SugarHouse, soon to be Rivers Casino and BetRivers.com, through these sport lounges which will undoubtedly elevate the game day experience at the Wells Fargo Center," Valerie Camillo, President of Business Operations for the Flyers and Wells Fargo, said in an official news release.

“Both spaces are stunning additions to what has already been the most transformative phase of our renovation project and we know our fans will be delighted with the design and experience."

Rush Street Interactive operates the retail and online sportsbooks for SugarHouse, which is in the midst of rebranding to BetRivers as two prominent operators in Pennsylvania join forces.

"We can't wait for Philadelphia sports fans to experience these new sports lounges," Rush Street COO Mattias Stetz said. "We know how passionate this city is when it comes to sports and we took great care to make sure these lounges have everything guests need to watch and get in on the action as it's happening."

Wells Fargo Arena Sportsbook Lounges

The Wells Fargo Center lounges won’t feature a brick-and-mortar sportsbook, or betting kiosks. Instead, players can place their bets through the BetRivers online sportsbook app, operated by Rush Street Interactive.

The two lounges are in two different areas in the arena and are similar to the SugarHouse Casino sportsbook just six miles north.

The BetRivers lounge is about 6,500 square feet and is on the New City Terrace, facing the bowl, so bettors can watch the games live. The Rivers lounge is 5,680 square feet on the Main Concourse. It features 10, 86-inch screens in the lounge area. An odds board and 16 additional 65-inch screens will be featured at the bar.

Both lounges will feature dining areas where players can eat and drink as they watch games. They also boast a custom 22-foot-by-8-foot LED video wall as well as dozens of additional large-screen TVs.

Rivers Casino representatives will be at both sportsbook lounges so prospective sports bettors can register and place their bets on the app.

Lounges Open for 76ers Games Too

The Wells Fargo Center is home to Flyers and the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA. The sportsbook lounges are debuting just in time for the Flyers’ home opener.

The 76ers’ regular-season home opener is Oct. 23 against their Atlantic Division rivals, the Boston Celtics.
