Jazz-Nuggets Meet In Game 7 Showdown On Tuesday NBACast

Bill Speros | 4 mins

The Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz have maxed out their first-round time inside the Bubble at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The loser will be returning to civilization after Game 7 Tuesday night. The winner waits until the Rockets and Thunder finish their seven-game affair Wednesday.
Die-hard basketball fans and wily bettors don’t want to see this series end, as it has given both much to celebrate during the past two weeks. Since No. 6-seed Utah took a 3-1 series lead nine days ago, Jamal Murray (who scored 50 points in that Game 4 loss) has carried the third-seed Nuggets back into the series and to the verge of a LeBron-Steph Curry-like comeback. If they win Game 7 Tuesday, the Nuggets will become the 12th team in NBA playoff history to erase a 3-1 deficit in the playoffs to advance.
Oddsmakers have moved toward the Nuggets to advance. Denver is a 1.5-point favorite in the Tuesday morning line across the interwebs. The Nuggets are -105 at bet365 on the money line, while a Jazz win returns even money at BetMGM. The over/under is 217 at PointsBet. You can get complete Jazz-Nuggets odds here.

Neither team has found much appeal among oddsmakers in NBA futures betting markets. Denver and Utah are +3500 to win the Western Conference at WilliamHill. Denver is +6000 to win the NBA championship at the same book, while Utah is +7000.
Donovan Mitchell, Jamal Murray Share Spotlight

Murray has emerged as the headliner despite the series being even. He followed his 50-point performance in the Game 4 loss with a 42-point outburst in Game 5 and another 50-point eruption in Game 6 – both of which kept the Nuggets alive. The in-game splits are even more telling. Denver is plus-21 in the 225 minutes played by Murray thus far and minus-47 when he’s resting on the bench. Overall, Murray has averaged 34 points over the six games thus far and is burying 57% of his 3-point attempts. Denver fans will hope he’s ready for 40 minutes Tuesday
Utah’s Donovan Mitchell has matched Murray – at least psychologically and emotionally, if not point-for-point and shot-for-shot. These two have delivered a middleweight slugfest that has carried into the seventh and final round Tuesday. Murray’s points total in Game 7 is 30.5 (-124) at DraftKings, while oddsmakers have set the total for Mitchell at 33.5 (-139). Given the offensive production recorded thus far in this series, Game 7 appears to be shaping up as a classic Western Conference postseason, points-laden shootout. This game may become the ultimate test of nerves for those who always preach “bet the under.”
