The Miami Heat have been different ever since acquiring Jimmy Butler, and they’ve done nothing but add supporting pieces around him as they hunt a fourth title in franchise history. This past offseason, that meant bringing in Kyle Lowry to join Butler, Bam Adebayo and a supporting cast that plays its role to perfection.

Sportsbooks like what Miami has to offer based on their NBA futures odds, and we’re feeling the same way — this is a team with the talent and coaching to make it back to the Finals after 2020’s outstanding run in The Bubble.

Heat Win-Total Betting

The Line: 48.5 (-110) at FanDuel

Miami hasn’t topped 49 or more wins since LeBron James left Miami, and even though we love the addition of Lowry, we’re not sure that the Heat are going to be a 50-win team. Head coach Erik Spoelstra is going to be careful with his core players during the regular season to have them ready for the playoffs, which could result in some “bad” losses in the regular season that don’t have too much meaning outside of pushing them toward their under win total.

The Bet: The Heat will flirt with this number, but we think they wind up going Under. Make the bet at FanDuel.

Heat Division Odds

The Line: -121 with TwinSpires Sportsbook

The Heat have won the Southeast Division in three of seven post-LeBron seasons, narrowly missing out on a fourth after the Hawks surprised everyone in 2021. But adding Lowry and getting this Miami team back on track after a short turnaround post-Bubble will right this franchise to the top of the division. Atlanta and Charlotte have excellent young talent, but Miami’s vets will get it done there.

The Bet: Atlanta is good, but they’re still a tier below the Heat. Betting apps have Miami as the favorite for a reason. Take these NBA odds at TwinSpires Sportsbook.

Heat Conference Odds

The Line: +1000 at WynnBET

Everyone on the Heat has playoff experience after the 2020 run, and adding Lowry now gives them someone with title experience and a ring. The East feels like a four-team race, and the Heat are certainly part of that quartet with Brooklyn, Milwaukee and Philadelphia. Betting sites have given Miami solid odds considering their topline talent, experience, and coaching. Their value will only shrink as the year goes on.

The Bet: If you really like the Heat, you’d be wise to take them early at WynnBET.

Heat NBA Title Odds

The Line: +2200 with PointsBet Sportsbook

Miami ran through the Eastern Conference in 2020 before the Lakers pretty casually took care of them in six games. And that’s what we’re feeling with this year’s edition in South Beach. Even if the Heat somehow came out of the East, they don’t have the firepower to match the West contenders. A core of Butler-Lowry-Adebayo is excellent, it just isn’t title-worthy, and their NBA title odds reflect that.

The Bet: A best-case scenario for the Heat is them getting pounded in the Finals by whichever juggernaut comes out of the West. There are better NBA picks than this one at PointsBet Sportsbook.

Best Heat Player Prop Bets

The Line: Erik Spoelstra, Coach of the Year, +950 at DraftKings

It’s absurd that Erik Spoelstra has never won a Coach of the Year award considering he’ll one day be a Hall of Famer. If Miami can implement Lowry early, and Butler stays healthy while Adebayo takes another step, the Heat can challenge for a top-3 seed in the East. That would put Spoelstra in contention — while perhaps giving him the lifetime achievement award he’s so deserving of. NBA betting sites have made Spoelstra the favorite some places, and we like that.

The Bet: If you’re a believer in Lowry getting the Heat over the hump, this is a great play at DraftKings Sportsbook.
