Anthony Richardson has been granted permission to seek a trade after losing Indianapolis’ starting job last year to Daniel Jones, who led the team to a surprising first half at NFL betting sites. Here are hypothetical trade odds for where Richardson, the former No. 4 pick, could land next.

Who Will Land Anthony Richardson? A Look At The Candidates

Richardson’s trade market is starting to take shape after reports that the Colts have given the former No. 4 overall pick permission to seek a deal, with Indianapolis increasingly committed to Jones as its preferred option.

The early chatter is pointing toward teams that can treat Richardson as a high-upside reclamation project and Minnesota has quickly emerged as one of the most interesting fits, with reporting noting mutual interest as the combine conversations heat up.

Given the mediocre play from former first round pick J.J. McCarthy in Minneapolis last season, with more interceptions (12) than touchdown passes (11) and a miserable 35.6 QBR, it’s no wonder that the Vikings might opt for a new QB1 in 2026 to boost their Super Bowl odds.

While Indianapolis sits second on our Richardson odds board at +400, it seems likely that a change of scenery is in store for the fourth year quarterback on the heels of a stint where he threw for 2,400 yards, 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions across 17 games played.

Outside of Minnesota and Indianapolis, keep an eye on the usual suspects on the NFL’s quarterback carousel, such as the Los Angeles Rams (+700), Cleveland Browns (+750) and New York Jets (+850), as all three will be on the lookout for new options under center.

In L.A.’s case, reigning MVP Matthew Stafford’s decision to return for his 18th season in the league doesn’t mean the club can rest on their laurels, with a long-term option needed to ultimately replace the former No. 1 overall pick.

For the Browns, GM Andrew Berry expressed his desire to have an open quarterback competition between Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders this week, though Richardson could emerge as a potential option should they decide that one or both are not long term viabilities under center.

For the Jets, the question about who will take snaps at QB is seemingly up for debate each spring, with Justin Fields entering the final year of his deal with the club, potentially clearing the way for Richardson to come in and unseat him as QB1 in The Meadowlands.

Longshot Suitors For Richardson

Two more teams, in the New York Giants (+1200) and Las Vegas Raiders (+1800) round out our Richardson odds board, with the former having rising prospect Jaxson Dart likely starting the year as QB1, while the latter starts anew (again) under first-time head coach Klint Kubiak.

In the Giants’ case, the team’s new head coach (John Harbaugh) might opt for some QB competition for the rising second year star out of Ole Miss, while Kubiak inherits the No. 1 pick in April’s draft, which they’re expected to use on reigning Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza of Indiana.

Still, Richardson’s promise means that some team is bound to take a swing at him this offseason, with the current Colts QB having carte blanche to determine his next destination in the league during the offseason.
