The Bears-Seahawks should be an entertaining NFL betting opportunity and a fun game to watch if you're a Bears fans tracking the development of Justin Fields.

Aside from following Fields' progression, you can make the game even more entertaining for yourself by placing a risk-free wager on the outcome. It's easier than ever to bet on preseason NFL games in Illinois now that the in-person sign-up requirement has been removed. This will be the first football season in Illinois where you don't have to sign up for an account at a casino!

Many in the Land of Lincoln have been waiting for the return of the NFL, so sign up now to find out why BetMGM Illinois is one of the top Illinois sports betting apps. Bears-Seahawks is a perfect opportunity to do just that.

How To Get The BetMGM Illinois Bonus Code

Getting the BetMGM Illinois bonus code is easy to do. Here’s how to claim it:

  1. Download the BetMGM Illinois betting app and use the bonus code BOOKIES when signing up for your new account
  2. Make your first deposit of at least $10
  3. Place your first wager risk-free up to $1,000

Here’s how it works: Let’s say you want to bet the Bears on the spread this weekend at -110 odds. If you make the full $1,000 risk-free bet on the Bears and they cover the spread, you’ll get back $1,909.09 in return (your $1,000 stake plus $909.09 in winnings).

But if the Bears lose, you have nothing to worry about because you’ll get back a free bet worth up to $1,000. The free bet  in this example would be given to you in the form of five $200 free bets (totaling $1,000). If you bet less than $50, you'll get a single free bet token in the amount of your initial wager.

You have seven days to use your free bets from BetMGM Illinois Sportsbook. This is an awesome deal so make sure to take full advantage of it if you’re an Illinois bettor.

Remember that you don’t have to register for Illinois sportsbooks in-person anymore. You can now register online and then place your wagers via the app, so it’s much easier to place bets. Previously, you had to register in-person to bet, but that is not the case in Illinois now.

BetMGM Illiniois: Bears vs. Seahawks Betting Odds

The Bears take on the Seahawks in Seattle in NFL Preseason Week 2’s Thursday Night Football game. The game takes place at 8 p.m. EST live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.

According to BetMGM Illinois Sportsbook, the Bears are +3.5 point underdogs on the spread. The total is set at 39.5 points, which carries -110 odds - meaning a $110 bet is needed to return $100 in profit.

The Bears defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1 NFL Preseason action by a score of 19-14. NFL teams typically keep their starters out of the preseason games, but the Bears played their starters to begin the game, including QB Fields.

Although the starters didn’t score any points, the backups came in and were able to score enough to beat the Chiefs. In Week 2, you can once again expect the Bears to play some of their starters.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks lost 32-25 to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 NFL Preseason action. Both quarterbacks, Geno Smith and Drew Lock, played in the game as each looks to win the starting job for the season.

Smith will play in this Bears game, but Lock tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week, so Smith has a chance to get a leg up in their QB battle.

Preseason NFL games typically don’t have high stakes, but given both the Bears and Seahawks are still trying to figure out their rosters, this game could prove to be more important than most, especially for the Seahawks, who are looking to determine their starting QB.

BetMGM Illinois Sportsbook is one of the best sports betting sites in the state, so get signed up today and place a risk-free first bet for up to $1,000 ahead of Thursday’s Bears vs. Seahawks game.
