Paul Pogba has admitted he would be interested in a move away from Manchester United this summer and it looks like a straight fight between Real Madrid and Juventus for his signature.

Speaking on a sponsorship trip to Japan over the weekend Pogba opened the door for a move this summer by saying: “It could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else”.

Making public his desire to leave is sure to lead to weeks of transfer speculation over his future and it has put Real Madrid and Juventus on red alert.

Real Madrid remain favourites at 8/11 (-137) with Betway to be Pogba's club after this summer's transfer window, with the Spanish giants undergoing a major rebuild.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane has previously admitted his admiration for his fellow Frenchman and it is believed the 46-year-old has prioritised a move for Pogba over any potential swoop for Tottenham's Christian Eriksen.

Real will have been encouraged by Pogba's public declaration of seeking a Manchester United exit and signing Eden Hazard and Pogba in the same transfer window would be a major signal of intent from Los Blancos.

Most of the recent money for Pogba's next club has come for his old side Juventus who are now 5/4 (+125) with Betway after being available at 11/4 (+275) last week.

Mino Raiola's Juve Link

Juventus are aiming to bring in a top-class midfielder this summer into Maurizio Sarri's new-look squad and they enjoy a good relationship with Pogba and his influential agent Mino Raiola, who is free to continue working in football pending the outcome of an appeal to the Court of Arbitration (CAS) against a ban by FIFA.

Pogba enjoyed four successful seasons at Juventus after joining the club on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2012 before returning to Old Trafford in 2016 for a then world record deal.

Betway spokesman Alan Alger said: “Real Madrid are still favourites at 8/11 to bag unsettled Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, but they’re not without competition. It now appears to be a two-horse race for his signature with Juventus just 5/4, having been as big as 11/4 last week.

“Either way, there’s a lot of interest in the Frenchman moving away from Old Trafford and, with Pogba himself having been outspoken about his desire to leave, the betting on his next club is warming up nicely.”

Barcelona, who courted Pogba last summer and whom the player was interested in joining, are now as big as 20/1 (+2000) to bring the Frenchman to the Nou Camp

Betway rate big-spending PSG as 25/1 (+2500) outsiders to bring the World Cup winner to his native France this summer and they would have the financial muscle to meet the cost of any potential deal.

For United's part, they expect Pogba to remain at Old Trafford next season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but that won't stop Real and Juventus testing their resolve before the close of the transfer window.
