When Chris Paul signed with the Los Angeles Clippers this past offseason, he was expected to make one last run at winning an NBA Championship at US betting apps, something that has eluded him during his Hall-of-Fame career. However, things didn’t work out with the Clippers, and the team announced in December that he would be sent home after a reported conflict with the team’s coaches.
Paul is still technically on the Clippers’ roster, as the team decided not to cut him even though he hasn’t played in two months. But with the NBA Trade Deadline coming up this week, and with Paul making it clear this is the end for him after 21 years in the NBA, there is a realistic chance that the Clippers will do the right thing and try to trade him to a contender before the deadline.
With Paul potentially on the move, Bookies.com has put together hypothetical NBA odds for where CP3’s final destination could be in his last chance to secure an NBA Championship ring.
Chris Paul Trade Odds (If traded before deadline)
| Team | Odds | Pct. Chance |
| Houston Rockets | +300 | 25.0% |
| Los Angeles Lakers | +450 | 18.2% |
| Phoenix Suns | +650 | 13.3% |
| Milwaukee Bucks | +700 | 12.5% |
| Golden State Warriors | +900 | 10.0% |
| The Field | +800 | 11.1% |

Houston Rockets (+300)
The Houston Rockets have been one of the teams linked to Paul. CP3 starred for the Rockets from 2017 to 2019, and with the Rockets now serious title contenders, the team could look to acquire him for cheap and add him as extra point guard depth ahead of their playoff run.
Los Angeles Lakers (+450)
The Los Angeles Lakers have been connected to Paul for years, but he has never played for the Lakeshow. In 2026, Paul may finally get the chance to don the purple and gold. The Clippers and Lakers rarely make trades, but would probably be willing to make an exception for Paul.
Phoenix Suns (+650)
The Phoenix Suns were Paul’s home from 2020 to 2023, and he played very well in “The Valley” before being traded away. The Suns are having an excellent season, and if they feel Paul could help them in the playoffs, they may try to pick him up from the Clippers ahead of the deadline.
Milwaukee Bucks (+700)
The Milwaukee Bucks may trade Giannis Antetokounmpo ahead of this year’s trade deadline, and if that’s the case, then Paul won’t be going to the Bucks. But if the team decides to make one last run with Antetokounmpo, Paul would be a good pickup to strengthen their bench.
Golden State Warriors (+900)
The Golden State Warriors were Paul’s home during the 2023 season, and although he left after just one season, he is still a valued veteran who could provide a spark off the Warriors’ bench. The Warriors wouldn’t have to give up many assets for Paul, and he knows Steve Kerr’s system.
The Field (+800)
Paul would bring instant veteran leadership and plenty of NBA experience to any team he gets traded to. With Paul being on a veteran’s minimum salary, most teams can fit him into their salary cap, so The Field is a very realistic option to get him before the deadline.
