FanDuel Predicts Launches In 5 States, Nationwide Rollout Expected In Early 2026

FanDuel Monday officially entered the prediction-market space. FanDuel Predicts went live during a phased rollout in five states: Alabama, Alaska, South Carolina, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
The limited launch comes just days after DraftKings rolled out its own prediction-market product on Friday, accelerating a rapidly forming race among major sportsbook operators to stake a foothold in regulated event trading. The timing also puts FanDuel Predicts in position to offer sports events contracts tied to the remainder of the NFL regular season, the college bowl slate, and the College Football Playoff.
FanDuel Predicts is a standalone mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, that allows users to buy and sell event contracts tied to real-world outcomes. Contracts are priced between $0.01 and $0.99 and can be traded by selecting “Yes” or “No” on whether an event will occur.
The platform integrates FanDuel’s existing Know Your Customer (KYC) process, requiring users to submit personal identifying information, including date of birth, Social Security number, home address, banking details, and a government-issued ID.
Initially, FanDuel Predicts will be available in the five launch states, with a broader national rollout planned over the coming months and into early 2026. DraftKings Predictions, meanwhile, operates live in 38 states, and offers a full slate of sports contract trading in 17 states, including Texas, California, Florida and Georgia.
FanDuel Predicts Offers Contracts On Finance & Sports
FanDuel Predicts was developed in partnership with CME Group. Its impending launch was initially disclosed ahead of Flutter's Q3 earnings call in November.
FanDuel Predicts plans to offer event contracts nationwide on financial benchmarks in all 50 states. Those include the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100, energy commodities including oil and gas, precious metals, cryptocurrencies, and major economic indicators like GDP and CPI.
Sports-related contracts will also be available across baseball, basketball, football, and hockey in states where online sports betting is not yet legal, excluding tribal lands. FanDuel said it will discontinue sports event contracts in any state that later legalizes online sports wagering.
“We’re giving our customers a new platform to engage with the world around them — whether that’s the next Fed rate decision or a sports event,” said James Cooper, FanDuel’s Senior Vice President of Flywheel and New Ventures, in a release. “This launch in five states will provide valuable insights into customer engagement with this new platform, enabling us to refine our approach as we expand to additional states in 2026.”
FanDuel Works With CME Group On Platform
The Flutter-owned gaming giant operates the platform in partnership with CME Group. That company's executives positioned the partnership as a key expansion of regulated prediction markets into mainstream consumer platforms.
“CME Group prediction markets will enable a new generation of users to express their views on global benchmarks, economic indicators, sports and more,” said Lynne Fitzpatrick, CME Group’s President and Chief Financial Officer, in a release.. “This launch is a pivotal step for expanding the reach of our products to FanDuel’s millions of registered users across the U.S.”
FanDuel said the Predicts app will include responsible-gaming safeguards similar to those found in its sportsbook products. Users will be able to set deposit limits, receive deposit alerts, or self-exclude, with access to mental health support services provided by Kindbridge Behavioral Health.
The rollout of FanDuel Predicts is expected to continue state by state through early 2026, further blurring the lines between traditional sports betting, financial markets, and regulated event trading in the U.S.
