Just like that, we are down to the final week of the preseason before the NFL season begins. While the last two weeks have been enjoyable, the final preseason games tend to be sloppier than usual.

These matchups rarely feature starters and most of the time, they feature players who will be cut/released in the upcoming days. Still, that doesn't mean you can't bet on the action and have a profitable week on your sports betting app.

But be careful as these games can be even more unpredictable than usual. With that in mind, here are our five NFL picks to consider at NFL sportsbooks for the final week of the preseason.

NFL Preseason Week 3 Betting Lines To Back

NFL Preseason Week 3 Picks

Steelers at Panthers (Friday, 7:30 p.m. ET)

PICK 1: Steelers over Panthers ( +100 at DraftKings )

The Steelers have already played three games in the preseason and hold a 3-0 record. They’ve covered in all three games as their offense has gotten better by the week. While it’s fair to assume Ben Roethlisberger won’t play at all in this game, Pittsburgh does have incredible quarterback depth with Mason Rudolph, Dwayne Haskins and Josh Dobbs.

NFL Preseason Odds & Betting Lines You Should Back This Week 1

Look for Haskins and Dobbs to play most of this game, which should be enough for them to win outright. We like the Steelers on the moneyline as slight road dogs in this contest.

Packers at Bills (Saturday, 1 p.m. ET)

PICK 2: Bills -7 over Packers ( -105 at DraftKings )

It seems foolish for any team to be a 7-point favorite in a preseason game, let alone during the final preseason game. But the Bills have been an excellent preseason team so far due to their quarterback and defensive line depth.

They have held the Lions and Bears to 15 points each and scored 41 points in Week 2. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky might not be a high-end starter, but he is an adequate backup capable of putting up a ton of points in the preseason.

And with Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love both not expected to play, the Packers could struggle to put up points. So take the Bills with confidence in this game at sportsbooks and betting sites.

Jaguars at Cowboys (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET)

PICK 3: Jaguars over Cowboys ( +105 at DraftKings )

Dating back to 2019, the Cowboys have lost four straight preseason games and the last time they won the final game of the preseason was back in 2017 against the Raiders. With the Cowboys having to play the first game of the 2021 regular season, you can bank on the fact that no key players will appear at all in this game.

That likely means we will see at least a half of quarterback Ben DiNucci, who has been arguably the worst quarterback in the preseason so far. Look for this to be a sloppy game, but for the Jaguars to win as they have far superior quarterback depth and several interesting down-the-roster playmakers.

Raiders at 49ers (Sunday, 4 p.m. ET)

PICK 4: 49ers -1.5 over Raiders ( -110 at DraftKings )

Jon Gruden has no intention of playing Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota in the preseason, which makes them a pretty easy team to fade in the preseason despite their 2-0 record. The 49ers will likely play Trey Lance at least a few quarters in this game as they try to figure out who their Week 1 starter will be.

And with the Raiders likely going the entire game with Nathan Peterman, take the 49ers to win and cover at home on Sunday afternoon.

Patriots at Giants (Sunday, 6 p.m. ET)

PICK 5: Giants +3 over Patriots ( -110 at DraftKings )

Through two preseason games, the Patriots are outscoring their opponents 57-13. But how much will Bill Belichick play his starters in the third preseason game? Probably not very much, which means we could see a ton of Brian Hoyer.

On the flip side, Joe Judge says that most of the starters will play for the Giants and could see snaps into the second quarter. New York is treating this game like their dress rehearsal, so there is some value here on the NFL latest line at Giants +3. And besides, the Giants are used to upsetting the Patriots, right?
